Why do you all assume I'm talking about pinning? Mage 1 pulls, Mage2 nukes for hate, runs clockwise. Mage 1 runs CCW to meet the NM, nukes as it passes, NM turns, Mage 1 runs, Mage 2 runs CW to meet the NM, nukes as it passes, NM turns, repeat. You can do this around a fucking tree if you want, there's no pinning involved. Also, if you're both casting the same spell and dealing comparable damage with each one, enmity will be evenly divided, which is the last thing you want, as the slightest amount of hate can cause it turn at inopportune times, resulting in getting hit. Why is this so hard to understand? If you're going to talk about Pinning, I can only imagine the joys of having a Blm lopping off T4s while a Rdm lops off T3s. Leaps and bounds more efficient and safe than two Rdms lopping off the same spell. You're impossible.
Also, BLM t4 and RDM t3? Have you played since the cap increase? o.O
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
And of course survivability is becoming a non-issue for you if you just pussy out and run whenever you have hate. You can easily get nukes off with hate, if you're not an idiot, which is where RDM does it a lot better than BLM.
I'm sorry, did you have anything to contribute or are you just taking over the 'Stating the blatantly obvious and irrelevant' role now? And how exactly is RDM somehow better at getting nukes off under fire than BLM? /NIN? Crazy, BLM can use that too! If you're referring to Stoneskin/Blink/Aquaveil (these aren't even an advantage, as BLM is going to either have these, or shadows), that's a shitload of time spent casting and recasting buffs when you could, again, just run for a few seconds while your partner gets hate, then nuke. If anything, BLM is even better than RDM when you discount subjob use (as both jobs can benefit equally from it, making it irrelevant), as Mana Wall gives you 5 full minutes of 100% Interrupt-, while RDM's abilities are both much more unwieldly to use (read: inefficient) and much less reliable when getting mauled in nuke gear. And of course survivability is becoming a non-issue for you if you just pussy out and run whenever you have hate. You can easily get nukes off with hate, if you're not an idiot, which is where RDM does it a lot better than BLM.
Except that your dumb ass said this
then called my above post obvious (which I'll agree, one would think that it is, but it doesn't seem to be the case here). In a duo, it doesn't matter one bit how much faster RDM can cast; as soon as they get hate, they're done, start running
You also failed to address the whole losing lights thing, which is honestly what I was looking forward to. Bless us with your wisdom.
See above; as for lights, you're telling me you've never seen your pearl drop off after being in the zone for hours on end? It happens to me, every time, without fail. Please, enlighten me if there's something I'm unaware of going on.
Lights don't decay, it's really as simple as that. I've went to sleep with 2000 minutes on the timer, and came back to killing mobs 15 hours later, without any sort of changes in chests. That and every single minute I've spent in abyssea have led me to know that they don't.
Well if that's the case, I've had some long-running, consistently bad luck on chest drops. You kinda notice when you go from 15+ chests per pull down to 5ish for an hour straight.
I believe that this is likely a side-effect from a lot of people killing mobs in the zone. With all the ga killing and cleaving going on these days, during high-populated times (JP on my server), I have found myself lacking chests even with beyond capped pearl. This is due to the dats only having 48~ chests available. I can easily get 20 chests on one pull, in a group of 3, now imagine when there's 250 people in the zone.
Ahhh that makes a lot of sense, thanks for the info!
I like /RDM for Convert mostly. It makes:
1) Intense Searing Light chests give 2 MP bars when you're farming chests.
2) A great way to keep Manawall active. ("Oh shit, I just got hit by Hadal Summons and it knocked me down to 50 MP!" -> Convert -> "Aaah, now I'm kiting with full MP, Manawall up, and capped PDT/MDT from Sorc earring activation.")
3) I don't know how Sublimation DPS interacts with Manawall, but it'd be stupid to charge your Sublimation by taking MP damage. I keep Manawall up as near full-time as I can. MP flows freely in Abyssea, and we all have plenty of temp items. As long as you kill NMs in <5 minutes and don't get unlucky (taking a Hadal Summons with ~300MP, for instance), I don't see a reason to play it another way.

also, sarcasm.
As far as new jugs are concerned: I want a fucking Pixie jug already SE. I don't give a fuck about the how, just do it.
You don't even have BST leveled..... oh yea you do, you have a maats cap with 17 of the jobs naked.
Since TH stacks and goes up with melee hit now occasionally..... I wonder if this bounty shot stacks the more times you use it on the same mob as well.
TH might cap at 30 like the lights for example, so i'm thinking with TH7 (the TH atma, af3 feet, THF knife, thf af2 hands, 3 TH traits) that it would start the mob with 7/30 for the cap, then everytime you SA or TA proc it would go +7 each time. So with TH7 you would go 7,14,21,28, then cap to 30. If you only had TH3 from traits and no gear it would 3,6,9,12,15,18 ect to it caps to 30. Being that most mobs rage after 1 hour, or you are following a time limit and want to speed things up, TH7 would still be very useful in saving time if it works the way I think it will.
Hopefully they add something in the chat log saying that TH did a proc.

More like gale force winds.
I know what would totally fix dark, not a JA update, not a crit WS, but an emote that summons bats.
Would totally make playing dark worth it. square should totally do it.
