I wouldn't be surprised if the Empyrean hands and body for THF are rocking a combo of Subtle Blow and Dual Wield, anyway. Then maybe T3 merits with the two at 99 if SE plans on sticking to that idea. Still, I feel like SB's being a bit overestimated without the presence of a NIN and/or MNK with other DDs plinking away too.
Questioning Selling my DH+1 (Subtle Blow+12) in anticipation for the Empyrean+2 body owning it in every aspect.
I personally hope you can "Apply" TH5 with a single hit with all your +armor on, then switch to your normal melee build and "Enhance" the TH5, instead of full timming, However. I'm okay with both when it comes down to it. Either way I get to enjoy meleeing more![]()
I'm pretty sure a search of "thf mule" will yield a shitton of results...
Yay for THFs meleeing stats in Dynamis.
You guys seem to neglect that this update has done nothing to make Thief a better or more efficient DD. They still feed TP like villains and do crap damage relative to other jobs. It's just that we have to tolerate it now. Also, there's nothing to say that one hit is going to get you the same bonus that it used to. You may *have* to do damage in order to build up to the TH level you used to have with a bolt shot (a la Dynamis statue).
There will likely be a cap in potency after a certain %HP damage dealt or # of attacks, but TH is so cagey that we'll never find it.
My take on the TH change is to effect all non-abyssea content. !! has greatly enhanced our ability to obtain better loot pools with abyssea and certain later events. Since older content does not have that functionality the TH bonus is likely a fix aimed at that goal.
It sure beats the "stand there and ranged attack to apply TH" that I usually see/do.
In theory blue/grellow !! single proc + new enhanced TH should make things should make abyssea drops damn near 100%
Oh, f***, hell no... Dear SE, feel free to go on and tell DRK/SAM/DNC/etc to full time their AF1/AF2 armor or AF1 weapon too while you're at it.
And here I thought that after Despoil->Conspirator stillborn ideas someone has actually put some thought into THF, but if it really turns out that you need to keep TH items on while meeling to enhance TH effect then… 3 more months of waiting in hope for me. We shall see.
On a side note, can we finally get some official information on how TH1/TH2/TH3/TH3+x/atma traits actually affect droprate? It’s not like you can figure it out on your own without cracking game code. Killing 10000+ mobs in controlled trial for Beehive Chips can give you an approximate figure, but what if you wanted to know improvements off a 1% droprate NM? Also, would be nice to know how it all stacks with RNG Bounty Shot. Is is a separate debuff or gets overwritten by THIII? Is it additive/multiplicative with THIII? Can THF enhance that effect with it’s meeleing? Is the debuff 100% chance? Does repeated use enhance the effect? I hope SE doesn’t expect people to test a 5-min recast JA in a 10000+ trial, and then again with THF present. I’d like to make same informed decision on how to play the job, thank you very much.
Also, if we’re going to be kept in the dark about TH workings, can I at least ask for chatlog message, something like “Dear THF, THIII+3 has reached max debuff effect on this mob, you can use some real dagger now.”
Fuck
Is all i have to say
Fuck
Spoiler: show
nah you straight up believed that
Sorry, but you might want to learn what proof is before you go around claiming you have some. All you have is the same as I, meaningless speculation.
I'm saying that if current (old) TH is say, a value of 5, and they're obviously trying to encourage thfs to actually melee rather than just be TH whores, I really wouldn't be surprised if the new start value after these changes would be a 1, with the ability to increase to a 5 and probably beyond that to a 10.
Otherwise what would be the difference between the new way and the old way? It would bear the same results and the changes would be completely moot.
No?
My "speculation"as you call it, as least has something to back it up. See, There is no reason, not a single word anywhere in the Update notes lead any hint at the fact SE nerfed it to where you will get a "Shit tier" TH with just 1 hit.
Their entire update notes imply You can Apply TH, then have a chance to "Improve" "Enhance" "WHATEVER" it through successive hits, or SA / TA.
If you can pick out one single word in the entire update notes that imply that TH will be "Nerf tier" unless you melee the NM up to "standard", I'll concede we're both "Randomly Speculating"
Until then, I'm looking at facts, and you're being pessimistic.
Go back to your other MMOs and stop pointing out my Mistakes![]()
