Unless the PT is like starved for TE or you're just starting to build lights I dunno why people bitch about ruby. How else you gonna easily get silver/amber/gold lights to cap them easily. But yea I've seen Duim around and I can confirm his gimpness, shouted for weeks to key leech BLU on top of that instead of making his own party(which is far from hard to do).

For the record, I think he finally leeched his BLU to 90 in a party I was in last night. That, or he's burning as many jobs as possible. Maat's Cap bitches, gimpness problem: solved.

Nope, he meant(and from what I heard came true) is that u brew and he gets the grip AND ring while trying to sell the earring on the spot for himself.

Yeah that was his shout yesterday: participants needed pop and brew, ring and grip were reserved, and selling earring for 5mil. Idk, I really think he was trolling, but then again I constantly see him arguing in shouts, or commenting on other people's shouts.

I was doing a few Orthrus a while ago and he apparently thought an Amano SAM was using a brew due to WS frequency (normal frequency that is).

Was spamming similar shout yesterday, also trying to sell earring for 5mil - apparently he is trolling but GOD it gets old really fast. Seems like whenever I'm in Port Jeuno I see this guy shout arguing with others. Might have to add him to my blacklist soon.

Was dualboxing NMs in Attowah for some seals I needed, when I came to Berstuk...

About 15 JPs killing this NM, majority of them gimps but these two kinda made me scratch my head..

Neither gear swapped at all..I am assuming the BLU subbed BRD for staggers lol, I guess he/she was more confused than gimp..

I don't know what it's like for other servers but for Siren, you can't do SHIT in abyssea whilse JPs are online even if its way past bed time for them, they fucking alliance dominate every single NM. We managed to snag two pops in should of seen it whilst the ??? was repopping, shit was like Fafnir.

Yep it's pretty much like that everywhere. Even when its not suppose to be JP time they are everywhere... in huge numbers.

And to add... they're usually rude as fuck...

I probably shouldn't post this here... But when I try to communicate and organize some kind of "You go then I go" trading pop turns thing, and I am met with "English I don't understand" or anything close to it, I resort to asking some extremely weird stream of consciousness like:

"Have you ever eaten oranges in the shower?" or
"Which shelf in the freezer do you recommend I store my shoes?" or
"I can't find my <cat>, \(-_-\) could you please check your vacuum cleaner?"

You get the point.

The funny thing is, most of them speak English. And a phrase that's both innocuous AND confusing gets their little gears turning.
They either think you're trying to insult them or using some kind of slang they don't understand, either way, they just can't let it go.
In a short time, usually, but not always, the curiosity gets to them and you get a near perfect English response in some form of confusion of disbelief.

Added bonus, if they GM you, the GM's goign to be confused as fuck too.

Yeah, they are always rude as fuck. I have no idea what has happened but 90% of JPs nowadays are either really horrible at the game or the most ignorant fuckers possibly imaginable. I remember when people used to pretend to be JP to get some sort of "street cred" or if you had a JP party you knew you was going to get mad exp an hour. Infact I remember putting fake JP shit in my search comments just to entice them.. could of said anything I have no idea but it worked lol Seems like they have just taken a turn for the worst.

I am going to try out your tactic the next time I bump into that situation haha sounds like I could get some laughs out of it.

Strangely enough, I've never noticed this problem being any worse in relation to Japanese players than it was for North American ones, and so on, so forth. Given that the majority of screenshots populating the media forum are probably of English speakers, though, I think this shouldn't be considered so strange after all.

I don't know what it is that makes Japanese players more memorable, sans the language barrier, but it's been said that there are idiots on both sides, and that's certainly true. Amusingly enough, the famously xenophobic culture the Japanese have is mostly represented by the older part of their populace; the younger people are being suffocated by it, and wish there were some way to break through it. That's not romanticizing the situation, either; it's part of the reason Japan as a country is facing so much trouble financially and has a grim future ahead of them (if their elders don't stop systematically suppressing the youths for the sake of conformism).

Why did I get into giving everyone a lesson on the current state of the world, namely in Japan? I don't know. Two things, I suppose: boredom, and the fact that I almost always run into Japanese players willing to cooperate/work with me. It's happened through every stage of my Magian weapons, in Abyssea (I've teamed up numerous times), and in other miscellaneous situations. Less often, I've dealt with someone I had to compete with -- but I'd never say that the brick wall more commonly came from Japanese players than English-speakers, as I'd say their about equally guilty.

For all I know, maybe a comparatively laid-back Japanese playerbase is the only unique thing Asura has going for it.

This really is the thing, I've run into more rude/stupid EN players than I have JP players. If you make an effort to communicate and not be a dick to them, most of the time they will try to work with you. I too have teamed up with numerous random JP groups when doing Magian trials, seal NMs, etc. More often than not it is EN players who refuse to team up for kills or give away seals their group didn't need...

I suppose I am rather biased though... I joined a JP LS maybe 6 months ago after my old late-night EN LS died out. Most of them can speak a little English to me, and I can understand enough Japanese to get by in most situations ("Yellow Trigger Wind" Kanji meaning Wind spells for Grellow, etc.). We too have problems queueing up to pop NMs during our main event time, one other JP LS in particular never agrees to take turns, so we either fight to pop or we move on to something else.
