I genuinely don't see how it's possible to take 40 minutes for that unless you disengage/turn around for a large portion of the time.

Did it on DNC/WAR earlier today literally just TPing it to death with Phurba + 25D trial dagger (was doing trials beforehand and forgot to bring a real weapon) and it only took 10 minutes. My per swing hit on main hand was comparable to what you're screenshot is showing, too. 7% vs 25% haste would make a difference, but I don't think it could make THAT much of a difference.

The first time I tried to solo it I actually hit the 60 minute rage, 1 atma and uncapped Katana/Evasion with full 75 gear will do it. And I'm pretty sure my 75 gear was better than his 90 gear. Main thing being the Atma.

I soloed Ovni at 85 on my horrigimp RDM in 20-25 minutes each time. I don't know if i had Beyond yet then, or I just used Ultimate.

Gimps can't kill fast enough to keep time up if the red box rate increases.

It's kinda stupid the judge the 69 BLU, I mean, even if he was perfectly geared for 69, he's still be completely useless and wouldn't be able to hit anything in an exp alliance. Do you know what I do when leveling jobs in abyssea until they become useful? I put on the most random rare/ex crap I can find in my moghouse and call it a day, especially if it looks shiny. The BLU could melee with a swift belt and miss 90% of the time or hit for 0, 4% faster! Whoopdeedoo. >_> And honestly who brings all their 60-90 crap waiting to ding into it? I just wait until I'm 90, then worry about reorganizing my equipment and properly gearing especially since everything is mostly hidden in some obscure part of my storage.

I came 7th in an ally once on buffalo on 69 BLU spamming Blitzstrahl/Ice Break/Death Ray, PUG are just that terrible.
I had MM/Ultimate/Lion iirc.

No, they really can't. Back before Heroes, I joined a shout group that timed out in Tahrongi before we capped out on lights. Our "top" DDs were barely breaking 1k on WS.

The altep doll DomOp alliance I posted couple of pages back where I was leeching, was on the danger of timing out. I entered with 90something minutes and 2 hours later I was actually down to a little under 40 minutes. Reason? People were killing so slow, one mob at a time taking 3-4 mins per mob. And ruby was near capped, if not fully capped.

Gimps don't suddenly stop sucking because they release a new add-on. There was never an excuse to kill slowly enough to time out, but people still suck hard enough to do it.

I'm not gimp on any of my jobs, neither gear-wise nor atma-wise, but in that horrible DomOp party I was keywhoring as lvl 48 drg, so I couldn't contribute much. If I hadn't come on blm to help (solo) cap azure first, the whole alliance would have timed out, I'm sure of it.

As I said before, all you need is one decent person in the group to have a decent kill speed. I'm wasting my time in a party because I'm leeching on my main character, while trashing noobs on my mule's blm.

I could probably just solo on my blm, but I think that going the alliance route and just capping my exp per mob is better, especially if the alliance isn't shitty.

How much longer are we going to keep this up? Just stop white knighting the fucking noobs. Not getting any ruby lights at all to increase your exp is noob, not killing fast enough to keep time up is noob.
