I wasn't complaining though! Was just giving an example of an exp alliance from fairly recently that was on the verge of timing out, due to incredible slow kill speed and getting a shitton of red chests. Luckily it picked up somehow (some gimps left and some not-so-gimp joined) so I ended up getting drg to 77 before I went to bed.

Without those exp alliances there would be a lot fewer posts in this thread, I'm sure. :D

Actually did this for a friend to get him out of that pink body. Mind you he had to do the AF Legs quest 1st which sadly took more then an hour.

Sadly no. It was what he wore to "tank" Teugghia in an AF seal party. Now that I think about it, the party member asked him why he was using Kamome in his main hand instead of his higher DMG katana, he said "because it has lower delay".

New person to my shell joined via a namechange-and-server-transfer recently. Wary, I know, but they hardly ever interact with us outside of random chat. However, random chat always seems to be playing up their own ability. This is where it culminated.

I was so, so so close to posting up in cross-player warnings looking for a background check since so far nothing on our end checks out whatsoever.

So we went up to do Kirin for the hell of it tonight. Get there, there's a group with it at 48%. We think okay, this won't take long. In fact, they've got what has to be a full alliance. Turns out they're kiting it with a PLD tank. It took them roughly twenty minutes to take it down, and it hovered at 11-14% because people died to Stonega IV, or tail smashes, etc. Was both amusing and annoying; we just wanted to pop ours, tear it down fast, repeat.

So they win with half their alliance weak, we stand by pop, hoping they'll pop fast and rush and screw up, free Kirin for us. Unfortunately it doesn't work. They procede to start kiting it with their PLD/WHM/RDM/w/e combo, popping the adds and killing them with two parties worth of people. Was /checking around to see just why they're taking so long... here's a couple of notables:

One of their less gimp but still... also, wtf is it with BLUs and wearing AF2 feet fulltime? At least put on the pink, you'd get haste during TP!

Note that these guys didn't blink once. A LOT of them never did. x_x; Also lots of SMNs, BLMs, RDMs... wow. Also two MNKs chi blast charging.

that guy died at 99% both times they claimed and it proceeded to run wild and wipe them. was pretty hilarious.

I think he's been vanquished for good this time though, that whole aegis on a level 24ish paladin was pretty silly.

funnier than tabasco finishing Amanomurakumo at level 70 sam and then not really knowing how to use it - as much as i like the guy, im sure hed have figured that out by now though.
