Isn't drakesbane perfectly acceptable with all the crit stuff going on still?
Isn't drakesbane perfectly acceptable with all the crit stuff going on still?
yes drakesbane is very good
So, now with 3 lunars, what's a better third atma for BLU, RR or Harvester/stout arm? Assuming I can spam spells.
Came back to XI after not playing for a long time, what gear can i get off the AH for a 75 SAM to start up again for now.
You have one of the best crit WS in game. DRG has one of the best AF3+2 pieces. You got tons of new jumps that are 100% crits and give enough TP to makes self SC with 0 haste. You got ability that heals you for 600-800? hp every 1 minute (Chakra is ashamed). You really need new WS to make DRG worthwhile? seriously?
Anyone found that -5pdt neck yet? lol
Anyone have a working treasure pool viewer?
Quick, stupid question.
For Ukko's Fury, Breeze Gorget/Belt and Thunder Gorget/Belt should both work right? Since fragmentation has both those elements?
Bare minimum for ultima, along with the pop set? Hoping to do it with 2 (rdm, blm, war, and rdm, drg, whm), and i can dualbox a fairly gimp mule (most jobs 75, blm will be 85-90), though i'm not very good at dual boxxing anything other than healers. Might be able to get another person or two, but idk. I figure ultima can be done rdm x2, but no idea how easy the pops would be.
Anyone know which mob clusters Ephemeral Limules tend to show up with in Tahrongi? Have plenty of stones to burn, so just gonna fiddle around for the gold chest abyssite. Tried to suggest Manananana to my LS a few times with the alliance change, but nobody's seemed interested. Got lucky on a Clionid the other day for Avarice while working on converting an abyssite to T2.
Fairly certain Rdm is still lacking in attack so I went that route with a CDC setup -
input /equip ring1 "Rajas Ring";
input /equip legs "Tumbler Trunks";
input /equip feet "Rager Ledelsens";
input /equip main "Almace";
input /equip hands "Wlk. Gloves +1";
input /equip back "Atheling Mantle";
input /equip sub "Khanda +1";
input /equip ear1 "Brutal Earring";
input /equip ammo "Smart Grenade";
input /equip head "Selenian Cap";
input /equip ear2 "Light Earring";
input /equip waist "Light Belt";
input /equip neck "Light Gorget";
input /equip ring2 "Jupiter's Ring";
input /equip body "Royal Redingote";
This assumes melee options on Cap/Redingote, and Crit augment on earring otherwise zilant = jupiter's, AJ also works for body and gnadbod's for head. Assuming WS belts work like gorgets you don't need Acc from hollow, aesir is an option. OA-anything offhand with decent DoT should beat that fleuret, or I'm biased because attacking slower than having a OAT offhand sucks to me.
So until I get Gnarled Horn and Razed Ruins, what's the best Atma combo for MNK? I have VV, Ebon Hoof, and pretty much all the NM and mission ones.
I've had good results with VV + Alpha/Omega, despite disliking the HP Penalty. Thoughts on VV + Hybird Beast (DA & TA Minor)?
There was a video about a year ago of a trio of jp's taking Ultima down in almost exactly 60 minutes, at level 75. They went as rdm, blu (these two were up in melee range, and both had plenty of -MDT/MDB to survive CB and stuff) and blm (who focused primarily on elemental debuffs for DOTs, but also did light nuking). Ultima has 50k HP, so doing nothing but the elemental debuffs would have killed it with DOT in about 105 minutes; add Poison II and it drops to ~75 minutes. They were clearly going for a near-0-TP-given scenario with absolute minimal hate on anyone outside the rdm. Should have enough freedom to up the damage output on the front line now, and likely don't need Saline Coat. I'd do rdm+rdm+blm.
For the tier 1 chips, pretty much any healer + DD should be able to do it if you're focusing solely on winning and not on farming stuff. The first mob you kill each floor opens the gate to the next (though on some floors you need to pull multiples just because of mob positioning). The tricky bits will be the top floors where you have (on the beast and beastmen branches, anyway) 6 mobs you have to get through, and may be annoying to manage keeping everything slept and healing the DD at the same time with just 2. Though I'd guess it gets notably easier by 90. You can be screwed over by time chests if you're unlucky on the beast zone (random chest drops), but generally should be ok. The other two zones are easy to get time chests for when you need them.
For the tier 2 chips, there's a bunch of fodder mobs (trivial to complete), plus boss mobs for each branch. Beastmen bosses shouldn't be too difficult (pld > smn [possible wipe on 2hr, but generally survivable] > whm). The beast branch (paired mobs) would generally need 2 DDs since each pair of mobs needs to be killed simultaneously, though I suppose 1 DD plus blm -ga would do, just need to bounce back and forth a bit to deal with the regen of slept mobs, or maybe have the blm nuke/sleep one of the mobs while the DD is on the other, until -ga time.
The elemental path boss, Carby, can be dealt with in a couple ways. Either have someone smn or /smn to carby-pull each of the two light elementals before engaging Carby himself, or just keep the elementals slept while you fight Carby (they probably depop on Carby's death; since you're not farming coins you don't need to worry about killing them).
Excluding Hachi, Byakko, and Usu, what are good NIN WS pants? (I realize those are probably best, just sorta outta reach atm.)
Kitty pants are not out of reach of anyone.
