K i haven't heard shit about dominion till just now. I hear the exp is crazy as fuck? How do I go about getting into this?

find a dominion npc, look through the ops and pick a mob family that looks easy, go kill 5, return to npc, get 2500-5k xp, rinse, repeat.

Get an exp pt in any new zone. if they arent doing dominion there and cant explain the basic idea to you then they suck ass.

It's like FoV but without a cool-down. Enter Abyssea, talk to Dominion Sergent, pick Op which tells you to kill X of a mob (e.g. op 13 in Ugly Range is to kill 5 Bluffalo). Once you've killed said mobs, talk to the NPC again for bonus exp (around 4.2k for Bluffalos, less for lowbies), and you can pick another Op, or more commonly the same one. Seeing a fair few groups doing this on Phoenix, killing 5 Bluffalo every 2-3 mins in pick-up alliances for huge bonus exp - you're basically exping as normal, but talking to an NPC and selecting some options every now and then.

you're basically exping as normal, but talking to an NPC repeatedly, spending more time talking to the npc who takes 5 secs for dialogue to show up than you do fighting.

What is the best atma pair for Mnk these days? Haven't actually done enough abyssea to obtain any, so wondering which I should work towards with coming back and all.

Razed Ruins + Gnarled Horn. Not sure what the third atma might be (we get a third Lunar now), I'd wager Roaring Laughter (when tanking) but it could be Voracious Violet or Sanguine Scythe if going for pure damage. I'd think VV is better given the critrate cap and Impetus but I think Motenten said SS is better so take that for what you will.

Yeah, that's new, after I saw your post I ran and did Crimson Carpet and got a seal. Definitely couldn't happen before.

Caturae mobs definitely despawn still, they come back pretty quick. LS was doing things in Tahrongi last night and were killing Iratham when we saw it. Twice it depopped before a pull, was back in like 20 min. Speaking of Tahrongi, last night we kept looking for Quetzalli, and saw him alive, just not popped the whole night. Did his spawn conditions (whatever they are) not get changed?

Can only do one, have the other 8 in summoning. I'm assuming elemental out of the two?

If something is "Distortion", then Snow and Aqua will both work with it. But if something is "Light" then only Light will work with it. Ukko's is Light, so it should be fine.

Any idea where this theory came from? It doesn't make any sense, why would a level 3 property only work with 1 out of the 4 elements in it? I've also heard that level 3 properties just plain don't count for gorgets and you have to use one of the secondary ones.

This is what I have. Some schs prefer 1/5 Enlightenment 4/5 Focalization but I've never found a need for Focal, especially now. As long as you 5/5 the first 3 I dont think there's a wrong answer for the 4th option, they all kind of suck anyway.



Question: I'm on the Fistule stage of my emp weapon and I've been doing RDM + THF and it's been going really easily, but I suspect my thf friends are getting slightly tired of me asking if they feel like stabbing it. My only DD is SAM, and I've got 3 lunar abyssites. Would it be possible for sam to tank it + babies with a healer if I set say, 3 regen atmas, or 2 eva + 1 regen? I'm not sure if it's feasible or what I would set since my only experience with it thus far as been with a decked out THF tank.

Yep. For skills, drop summoning skill so you can do enfeebling+elemental. If you really refuse to do that, you'll have to play with your sch and decide which is more important for you.

Would 4/8 enfeebling 4/8 summoning 8/8 elemental work?

Edit: hmm. All I'd need skill for is acc, which I don't need, wards which are fine as is, and siphon which isn't as important in aby.. maybe I'll drop summoning magic.

1.) Just wrapped up +2 blm pieces from "old" abyssea zones. Now onto goetia hand and body seals. I haven't done anything in new zones other than kill bosses, what's the best way to farm blm body + hand seals? Quest, nm, or dominion?

2.) Does adding more goetia+2 pieces enhance the set bonus further, or is 2 pieces the same as 3?
