VV/RR/SQ I would think. SQ should push you to a 4 hit easily and comes with +20% more crit% And if you WS in DRG EMP legs (which you probably should be) you're wasting some of the +crit damage on SS.

Apocalypse should probably trump Omega, assuming thats a superior triple, agaisnt a major one. Yes Omega gives +Att , but at this point not so sure if you need it or not, depends on the overall situation. The HP penalty on Omega bothers me a bit as well.
What's a very basic gear set for mnk? It's for a mule, so nothing too fancy, trials are out of the question, af3 will be limited to +1, i have black belt, etc. Don't want to spend more than 1-2m max.
What's the best atma setup for soloing EMish mobs quickly and safely on DRK?
VV/RR/Stronghold?
VV/Stronghold/Siren Shadow?
RR/Stronghold/Siren Shadow?
On the cheap, gil wise, may take alot of farming time, but:
Heafon/././Thew
Tantra Crown +1/pcc(a)/Brutal/Merman's(or aesir)
Loki/af2+1 or 3+1/Rajas/Strigoi
Cerb.+1(or belenos or boxer)/BB/af3+1/af3+1
And things like Heafoc Mitts and Anguinus for ws set.
just got the tantra cyclas +2, has anyone figured out how it augments impetus? not seeing any extra attack granted per hit. Still testing but not 100% sure how to go about it.
I'd look to see if you're gaining an additional effect for every landed hit. Imo it's probably accuracy and you'll need to do a /check test. More importantly, should test the Martial Arts effect, unless it's already known? (Do 10 hits /w body and record TP gained. Do 10 hits w/o body and record tp gained. Post on forums, people can run the math for ya~)
What drops the items for MNK +2 body?
Various things are optional alternatives, generally easy to get from Abyssea NMs vs buying on AH.
Furor Cesti (tiger NM in Altep), Taurine Cesti (marid NM in Uleg? can't confirm this one, so just suggest the Furor Cesti)
Thew Bomblet, Tantra Tathlum
Turban, AF3+1 head (replaces turban)
PCC, Agasaya
Brutal
Aesir/Merman
Aurore, AF3+1 body, Loki's
Aurore, AF3+1 (either of these two for TP), OKote, Melee Gloves (these for WS/Chakra), Heafoc (alt for WS)
Rajas
Ulthalam (if TAU), Excelsis (if WotG), Spiral, Strigoi
Forager/Cerb+1/Belenos
Black Belt, Warwolf, Anguinus
AF3+1 legs
AF3+1 feet
In most cases, Aurore are good substitute pieces if you want to be able to use the character before the AF3+1 pieces are done.
Pretty much the only AH items are PCC (which will get replaced by Agasaya), Coral/Merman Earring, Forager Mantle, Ochiudo's Kote and Warwolf Belt. Thew Bomblet and Spiral Ring are optional buys if you don't want to kill the NMs for them. Overall cost should easily be under a mil even if you buy everything, except maybe the PCC.
Southeast of the gnat area (vaguely towards the corse spawn point) is a miasma block. You can run around the rock north-ish a bit to get to either side. Pull to there and have one person on either side who can grab hate in some way (voke, nuke, whatever), since you can act through the miasma wall. When Warbler is on one side, let that person fight it until they get petrified/hate reset. Warbler then makes the long trip around the rock to get to the people on the other side; generally enough time for petrify to wear off on its own, but of course can have the whm deal with it as well. Would guess mnk on one side, rdm on the other, and whm probly with the mnk. Mnk can use ninjutsu to get hate back up enough to pull Warbler after the reset on the rdm. Very easy fight.
Tantra cyclas +2 testing:
Barefisted, 90MNK/NIN in kuftal on crabs, 10 attack rounds:
no body:
112 tp, 2 kicks, 3 crits
body:
117 tp, 3 kicks, 1 crit
you need anything further from me to test i'm more than happy to.
Starter town would be a better test. Need 10 attacks because if there's a decimal value, x10 is enough to turn that into a whole number(for example, 5.5 tp per hit, 10 attack rounds = 55 tp w/ no decimal value). So best to test on mobs you can 1shot. Kicks and crits btw shouldn't make a diff on TP (Kicks will if footwork up but yea lol), so just need 10 actual attacks from each.
Also, if any stp gear is being worn, probably relevant information as well (ideally 0 should be worn)
Lowest required set up for straight tank Hedjedjet (as mnk/nin)/strat?
ok will go do that between nm pops (doing VS trials since i got coins). As for the scorp, you'd want a co-tank, whm, and maybe a rdm at the very least. it's no joke. potent poison aura i think it was, near perfect accuracy, and hits like a truck. If you're after your cards as i suspect you are, go after empasa the garg in ule. that's how i got my +2 body.
Strat for that one? Or is it a straight forward garg fight?
its not. its hell, really, but still better than the scorpion. It has two modes, flight and on ground. on the ground its a joke, typical garg. in the air its a PITA. does nonstop TP moves, and any damage done to it while its using TP/magic will heal it. You have to damage it between TP moves for around 10% of its health to drop it to the ground. If you have a great whm to back you you might be able to duo him, but would be a huge strain on the healer. What I did was wait for a tp move to hit, and as he was finishing the animation use ws. you have like a 1-2 second window before the next tp move comes to damage him.
is Audumbla all that hard? Again, wiki makes this NM sound kinda hard but I suspect its also people with crap atma.
MNK + WHM can prob handle it as well?
Is there anything besides completing Mihgo's Dominion Ops to obtain Atma of the Fetching Footpad (MAB:minor, Mcrit: major, Conserve MP: Superior)? For BLMs with the AF3 set bonus, would this be a major player, possibly replacing Ultimate or Beyond? If the conserve MP is 15% or higher, that seems like a nice boost to the number of procs.
