Easily, if your monk is half-decent. Hits hard and fast but has pretty low accuracy and evasion. Easily tanked by nin/thf/mnk. Snort does nowhere close to what otherwiki says.
Alright, figured as much. Do I need /NIN or does /WAR work since low acc and eva?

I fought it a couple times on mnk, and a couple times on thf (switched to get TH). On mnk I had a decent evasion rate, but would still be a pain to keep up with healing if /war (am fuzzy on damage done since it didn't hit often, but am thinking in the 300-400 range per hit?); most likely not as much an issue of individual damage, but of it getting a few hits in between heals and then getting hit with a high-damage Mighty Snort (more of a concern for me since our healer was a rdm; unlikely to be a problem for a whm healer) . Fight took about 3-4 minutes with mnk + nin meleeing it (I seem to remember Impetus wearing off towards the end of the fight) and blm nuking, though that was without food to give the blm more time to test procs.
On thf, I think I may have had capped evasion even in normal TP gear (no evasion gear). It took a loooong time for it to get through shadows. Oh, I was using Siren Shadow as one of my atmas (RR+GH+SS). While it does have a high defense, my 85 thf was still doing better damage than the numbers on the wiki for the 87 thf.

Answering my own question because Martial Analace popped up at AH finally. It stacks. Tried Sanguine Blade and always got 100% back.
Now my question 2#: Does it work the same for Trial Bonus weapons?

The "hardest part" is the hate reset, and your WHM needs to be ready to deal with it. Duo'd with MNK/NIN and WHM easily - although my WHM died and reraised on the first fight. It wasn't an issue though. Also trio'd with MNK/DNC, RDM or BLM and BRD. Even easier, although it took longer because I was messing around and using weird atma for the fight, and we were trying to proc !!s and I was using a lot of TP towards Haste Samba, Curing Waltz and Box Step.
This is one of those abyssea NMs I'm convinced I can solo on MNK/DNC - but might get humbled in doing so. I got ballsy last night and tried to solo Adze. That fight wound up sucking fast.

RDM merits: What do at this point in the game?
For Group 1, is Convert recast a complete waste? I rarely find myself in situations where I need to use it, but I'm not sure about non-abyssea ventures. Also, for macc, I would think 5/5 in ice/earth for slow/para, but what about considering fire for addle, or wind for grav/silence? Could maybe do 3/5 ice/earth 2/5 wind/fire... I dunno.
Group 2... well it's kind of obvious, slow/para II at least... but how many in each, and what else should I consider?
