The melee in my shell seem to think Twilight Mail outclasses Adaberk. It is missing DEX and Attack but the other stuff seems to outweigh it in peoples' eyes.

Huh? It has more dex. +5str, +5dex, +15 to any other mod, +10 acc, -15 attack is what you get changing to adaberk...

I also have war, and have played nin, rng, brd, in the past. Not sure why that matters though.

Adaberk is only good if you need acc. Ie, it sucks. If you don't need stp/haste/da/etc then rearrange your build so you do, you can use grim, loki, af3, etc.

Adaberk is the 2md best RR body (for outside Abyssea) behind Twilight Mail, for sure. Also, this perma attack/accuracy cap bullshit really needs to stop being spewed because it is -nowhere- near true. Also, 0 jobs share Loki's and Adaberk...
In the end though, Adaberk is a WS piece only at best, and Twilight Mail beats it for virtually every weapon skill. AF3 bodies (and Aurum) are better TP pieces...and if you don't have one, honestly, Twilight mail (with extra acc) is a better all-around TP piece than Adaberk. The only use in TP for Adaberk is someone with tiered TP sets for varying amounts of accuracy that is still missing better bodies.

Did a search, couldn't find anything, anyone find nin body seals from a mob other than ironclad in altep because srsly fuck procing grellow on that.

Do ein if you want to do it. Adaberk isn't a justification for it, though. I honestly can't think of more than 2 pieces from ein that have any use (vhelm/body)

vbody is pretty lackluster and bad. Vhelm is the only good piece...maybe pbody for regen.

Acc is always capped. If it's not, you switch to pizza, and it's still capped. I'm aware that atk isn't always capped, hence grim.

This is wrong.
Pizza+1 is 55attk, 44acc on wiki, may be off slightly, but close enough.
RCB is 150attk, 7str.

Grim>Twilight is -30 attack, +32.5acc. Bomb Core>Bomblet is -6attack, +6 acc. That's made up all of the accuracy so far except 6 at the cost of 36 attack instead of 95. I'd have to look at your TP sets to make further adjustments.
As one of the original proponents of pizza and such, the point was that it was virtually always better to use pizza than to sacrifice -haste- for accuracy.

RCB too expensive? Marbled steak is same price as Pizza+1, and is 90attack, 6str. Subtract my 36 and you're at 54attack (virtually same as pizza), with an additional 6str and missing 6 accuracy. Personally though, I'm not a fan of 3hr food, hate it wearing off at bad times, forgetting to re-use it, etc.

Anyway, point is on new NMs (maybe some of them even with Pizza), you're not capping accuracy in a normal TP set, and attack is closer to floored than capped. In any case, attack gear and pizza is a shitty/cheap solution (aka, only if you're comparing to YCB and not Red), and Pizza was a highlight of dropping Ace's for Turban, not dropping Twilight/Ebody for Grim.

The pickup parties that I do still insist on 30 pearl/30 azure. However, I (and most in my ls) now have every abysitte to enhance blue/gold/droprate lights. With all the abyssites what should we be shooting for as far as lights are concerned to max each type?

I don't think anyone has proven what these abyssites actually do. As far as I can tell though, 25 has always capped, and 30 is overkill, but I'm not really sure on less than that...either way, ephemeral/newelementals should be used, why would you do all your lights on normal mobs? Even if you don't want to roam, there should be 2-3 within range of camp.

What area are you looking at? Cause it really varies depending on the area. I.E. One elemental nuke kill one time in a Heroes area (with good morale), capped azure lights long enough to get a few time extensions. In Scars, you can just snipe Emphs, etc etc.

Well, I was really thinking of the best way to 2 box a refresh pin and pdt/mdt rings in dem. I have a 90 rdm that is in full af as an alt. He has minikin atma and that's it pretty much. Mainly I've just been using him to hold carabosse triggers/KI/etc. Oh and he's awesome at level syncing for WOE stuff as he has tons of gimpy jobs. He also has a naked 75 sam.

My main has the option of Blm or Ninja. Both would have access to 3 luners and all the good atmas. So I'm trying to figure out the best way to quickly cap pearl/azure/amber in Kon so I don't have to lot against a bunch of other people for the items.

I really think I could mass farm more quickly once lights are built by rounding up stuff and alternating ga spells on my blm with sleepgas on my rdm. I've done this before on trials and rarely if ever get hit even with 20-30 mobs. Just have to time it right. But going blm+rdm creates serious problems for building pearl/amber lights.

Likewise, I could nin+rdm and have no problem building lights. Pop some vnm for pearl. San/Ni down a few ephermerals for azure. Kill the first couple dozen mobs during my farming spree with Yu. But even with the best atmas and an over average ninja (no :hi though) I don't think I could kill as fast as ga farming. So I'm just trying to find out the minimum lights I would need. I have no problem nuking a T1 vnm down to 5% then spamming bio for a pearl light, but amber with the blm +rdm setup would be rough. If it only took a couple vnm/eph amber kills though instead of 4-6 I could prolly find a way to do it with my alts melee rdm.

Get a friend (or pay someone 100k or something) to come do ambers for you. 100-200k for someone to come spend 15min doing lights isn't a bad deal, esp if you kinda know them and they also see it as helping you out (not a /shout)...you'll also make it back in the first couple trashy rings you get. Definitely do VNMs for pearl, guaranteed light is good. As for setup, /shrug, your call. If you go nin, farm saplings as they don't give ruby so you can WS whenever. Personally I'd do that method because it's less effort/more mindless. Finally, if you're worried about time (or easier lights), at all...find someone else who can solo/2box,and ally up with them. Make it clear whatever you kill and drops a chest is yours, and whatever they kill is theirs. Just gives you more TEs/cruor/etc at really no penalty. As a side note, you can also offer someone the chance to come cap your ambers, then after they do that, swap to a low level job and leech exp. It won't be as fast as cleave or anything, but it'll still end up better than any traditional party, and they can just afk after they cap lights in 15-20min. It's pretty much win/win.

As far as the enhanced Blue/gold/droprate, I think it simply has a chance of giving the max said chest can attain. While although rare, I have gotten max exp, TE's, and large gold chests, with next to no lights. Seems to be the only thing I can think of, because my mule(who has next to none) has never gotten anything along those lines.

I agree it does -at least that much-. The thing is, I can't/haven't been able to disprove that it speeds up the rate of light gain, or affects the relative distribution of chests. Then again, I have all 3 red, blue, and amber... but ya, it may do more than "just" that. It doesn't seem to give free lights on zone-in, as I've gotten a 250exp/200cruor chest off a chest, /shrug.

Are you saying there's no FFXI folder? Do a simple search, if it's fully installed, the config app will be there.

What do Ebon Lights do? I've heard they give all light bonus, but this is certainly not true. With 50+ ebon lights a person /w 0 azure was STILL getting 250xp blue chests.
