is shinryuu's abyssite 100%? the 200k brew? or was only the discernment 100% because of it being part of the quest?
keep getting "..a command error has occurred' everytime i try to use Waltz 5, is there a bug or something? its broken on both PCs i use, and when i try to type out /ja "curing waltz V" <me> it doesn't work either... pretty lame
Also, is something wrong with Reverse flourish because it used to be i could use Presto > step > step > reverse flourish, and i'd always get 75 tp, but now i randomly get 35-61 sometimes, no, the steps aren't missing, it just randomly doesn't give me the full tp. Maybe i'm overlooking something but its been happening alot lately and its very frustrating.

Can't seem to get a clear picture of what I want for DNC merits. Using it for solo'ing only. Anyone?
I went with 5/5 Haste Samba, 5/5 Reverse Flourish, 5/5 Closed Positioon, 3 Fan Dance, 1 Saber Dance and 1 No Foot Rise.
Group 1 is pretty much a no-brainer, regardless of what you are going to do on DNC. Personally I went with 5/5 Closed Position because most of the times I'm on DNC it is a solo/low-man oriented situation, usually tanking or back up tanking, so positioning isnt much of a problem and I find the acc/eva to help with it. 1 Saber Dance to have it unlocked/help build TP quick if I really need it, or just to dish more dmg if I know I won't be Waltzing for a bit. Got 1 No Foot Rise just for the sake of it, incase I need a quick stun and got no FM's or going to claim something instantly and etc, not very useful but I suppose I get more use out of it than I'd get of another merit into Fan Dance, which is where I threw all the remaining points, guess I don't need to explain this, just put the rest in here for those situations where you are getting hit a lot, or just wanna minimize damage altogether by reappling it before the first one completely wears off.
So you could go 5/5 Haste Samba, 5/5 Reverse Flourish, 5/5 Closed Position and 5/5 Fan dance, if you're going purely for solo, or maybe 4/5 Fan Dance 1 Saber Dance, to have it unlocked. Mix and match something around those lines to what fits your playstyle better.

How the fuck do you kill Indrik? 37% is the best we can do... And I am pretty sure that was luck. Went at it with NIN, BRD, WHM, BLM, DRK. Migawari has to long a recast for that stupid lance shit.

Killed it about a week ago I think with just a typical set-up. Ninja and monk tanks, thief, multi boxed whm + rdm healing, I think we had a blu and brd there for triggers but I really can't remember exactly. The lance thing sucked yes, but with typical buffs and a HP atma we normally survived it (only death to it was myself, as I was too slow curing myself back up). It did seem a bit rough at points, but I don't remember too much about it.
Highest hit to me was for 8k... How the fuck can you survive that. Migawari saved my ass once, but he spammed 3 in a row, pretty much ensuring my death. I suppose just have more tanks.
From my experience I think scintillant lance damage goes up either
1. The more he uses it
or
2. The longer the fight goes
Scherzo really helps but the fight should not take longer than 15min (including yellow procs) with a 6man party.
+29~33* in gear during TP, and roughly +6~13* in gear for ws, relying only on VV for 1-2 ticks. Can also go with +35 tp, +6 ws(brutal/rajas) if you dont want to rely on VV for w/e reason on the tic.
*higher tp/lower ws stp values where for 1 tic, while lower tp/higher ws stp where for 2tic from VV

With Kamome being the default off-hand for Ninjas now due to the +10% crit damage, would a Dominion-augmented dagger with 6+% crit hit damage be worth off-handing for THF or DNC? for a DD set? Base dagger is D:35, and I've seen as high as +6% crit hit damage, +7 damage, just not on the same dagger. At what point would it out-do a STR Kila+2 if I'm main-handing a DEX Kila +2? I assume with RR/GH/DD inside Abyssea the crit damage would be a nice bump up, but would it ever be worthwhile outside of Abyssea, where you're not getting 90%+ crit hit rate?
...or should I stop wasting my Dominion Notes on these daggers and use them for something else for my dnc/thf/nin/mnk?
Your 'if' statement is always being returned as true, so the 'else' never processes.

Would not suggest this. I tried it the other week to try and get a ls win and didn't pan out sooo hot. I'm fairly sure rani can't dispel/absorb brew so that isn't the problem. It's more or less a problem if you accidentally heal rani you will heal it for 4times the amount of dmg you deal. I was nuking for a steady 4-5k and then if I managed to get one caught in a TP/cast animation it would heal for 14k. You could probably do it but it would take a little luck and good timing. If nothing else you could at least get it down to 30-40% np and just kill from there.
Can Myrmecoleon be done as a DD + Mage or Mage+Mage duo, whats the droprate like on tactical mantle?
On BLM/RDM with Celerity and the +2 Staff for an additional -12% Elemental Casting Time, my friend's nukes go off around ~32%. I would wager that the staff is giving the same bonus as the Hat. We're planning to work on hat seals today, so I'll pin down the current casting speed, then get the new value after the hats are done.
