Did it without brewing it by having two DD tanks on it, other DD just ran in to WS. We reset it around 30% but I'm not convinced it was needed. After reset we just finished it off the same way. Had someone kite while people were charmed... idk what to say really. It was quite surprisingly simple once we got going, only real danger was hate being a bit messy if all your DD got charmed but mages didn't. Reapply buffs as they get dispelled, swap in MDB gear for spells and such... pretty simple, frankly. It's not a hugely complex fight, just can be very annoying.

We used 1 MNK/NIN main tank, 1 MNK/WAR back up voke for Charmaga, a couple RNGs, 3 SMNs, 2 BLMs, 1 Red Proc'er(was WAR then changed to SAM or NIN), 1THF, 1BRD and 3 Healers. It took us a couple tries, but we got the hang of it. The SMNs help cause they can BP based off of what Rani is doing. This limited the amount of accidental curing of Rani. We just wore her down, then once we found the Red proc, we used that to stun her as we Zerged.

With Kamome being the default off-hand for Ninjas now due to the +10% crit damage, would a Dominion-augmented dagger with 6+% crit hit damage be worth off-handing for THF or DNC? for a DD set? Base dagger is D:35, and I've seen as high as +6% crit hit damage, +7 damage, just not on the same dagger. At what point would it out-do a STR Kila+2 if I'm main-handing a DEX Kila +2? I assume with RR/GH/DD inside Abyssea the crit damage would be a nice bump up, but would it ever be worthwhile outside of Abyssea, where you're not getting 90%+ crit hit rate?

...or should I stop wasting my Dominion Notes on these daggers and use them for something else for my dnc/thf/nin/mnk?

Short answer: stop wasting notes on them. I tried spamming daggers just to see what could come out of them, and got a +6 damage, +5% crit rate one. That's about equivalent to a thunder Kila +1 dagger. Kila +2 thunder and either +1 or +2 fire all beat it. If you can get the highest augments possible (+8 damage, +6% crit rate) that puts it between the +2 thunder and the +1 fire kilas, with the +2 fire still well ahead.

They're perfectly reasonable if you don't want to spend time on magian trials, but if you've already got the magian stuff done, they're just also-ran options. Same for all the other weapons, as far as I've seen. The best augments I've seen put them up around lvl 85 magian weapons, but you'll be spending a lot of notes to get them above lvl 80 magian weapons.

Is there a decent way to solo your own time extensions? i.e. can i get to 120 mins time saved up by myself, or would TE chests not come by often enough? Mainly want to do it so I can start doing fame quests and solos.

Beyond+ultimate+MM, assuming you're high enough for blizz5. Otherwise replace beyond with whatever elemental +damage goes with your highest nuke.

probably, but you would probably cut it pretty close. nukes i saw only did around 5k, granted the jackass was nuking in goliard body among other things, but she likes to cast alot too and nukes heal it for 18k iirc. see also: kidnoftle's post in what you should know in heroes thread

Ultimate and the PW atma for sure. Baying moon and kirin are probably about even for a third if you don't have smouldering/gales/whateverelement.

for turul you can do mnk/whm/stunner for thunder 4 and 5, or you can back tank it after it hits itself with thunder 5, or can have the whm/blm and stun it, kite during reaving wind (if thats the knockback spam move) and win

I guess I can just do this with sam as well (I have masa) so I'll just make my whm/blm do stuns or back tank when it does the wind move. Thanks!
