Related theory: Atma of Ingenuity / Atma of Alpha and Omega / ?? [probably RR] and no +HP/MP Cruor buff could put a -HP built nin under 900 HP easily. Capping haste, could have Migawari up 100% of the time, making anything that hits over that much damage nullified. Dangerous? Stupid? Maybe, but on certain mobs, could this make you invulnerable?

Migawari wears off after stopping 1 hit, as I understand it. So unless you can take damage less than once a minute or w/e...

If Bastok is in first, go buy a shit load of cornettes and run back to windy and turn them in, I can't remember the NMs name off hand, all I know is he is in walls, in the building north of the bridge you would take to get to waters I believe..

you get majority of your gil back from turning them in so its pretty win.

Basty only needs to be in 2nd for the cornettes to be for sale, and unless you can manage a ton of inv space (or the tele moogles are around) it's probably worth it to have a friend/mule in Bastok D box them to you as you trade them, you need quite a few to max out fame but it's the fastest method afaik and as said, costs next to nothing.

Don't forget a trade macro.

So just trio'd Glavoid NIN BLM RDM, any other tips for this fight? I tried this earlier on thf rdm blm, didnt go as well, hate reset is kind of a bitch. NIN/drk rdm/whm and blm setup went smoother.

Also, I think thief gets evasion bonus at 90? Seems to hit me less on thf than ninja. Thanks.

I assume you're talking about Myrmecoleon? I went in with thf (mule), nin, rdm (me). Popped on THF, pulled back out of the agro area and nin voked. No enfeebs stuck on myrm so in hindsight whm would be a much better choice than rdm. Nothing tricky really, nin used magwari (sp) but it didn't help. He'd still occasionally eat a 2.5k+ horn. The one thing I noticed is tp feed is a major point of contention. The only time shit went south was when I'd engage my TH mule to try and raise Treasure Hunter. WHM + MNK should be an easy duo, I'd say give it another try sounds like maybe you just got unlucky.

only thing annoying is the hate reset move, and as cdgreg said, tp feed can be an issue.

Lusca is a giant gimp, I duoed it NIN/anything anything/whm with just minikin. throw haste and cures, the highest damage it seems capable of is 500 in a single shot. Have the BLU sub nin, equip magic damage and physical spells and you're good to go.

Yes, it would be better. For some reason I keep thinking Tantra +2 has 8 str instead of 7. And though the acc wasn't needed for my hypothetical, it's always nice to have a bit of extra buffer.

some facts to explain my question.

day/weather bonus for blm caps at 1.35
day is .1
af2 pants are .05
single weather is .1
double weather is .25
ring is .03

we all know not to use pants or ring on day/double weather since we reach cap without them.

Now, whats the deal with the cape. I havent done testing yet, and I can, but has anyone done tests yet.
Whats the dmg bonus on it? .05?
Doesnt this cape fit into this 1.35 cap?
If it does, then am i correct in thinking pants/obi/ring/cape to 1.23 on day only
Am I correct in thinking pants/obi/ring/cape to 1.33 on day/single weather?
Am I therefore correct in thinking this cape, like the pants are good unless you're in day/double weather situation?

Also has anyone done tests to compare goetia chausses +2, to see if/when they are better to use vs af2 pants for day/weather situations?

basic stuff, really. earth carol 2 and barstonra on the monk, blm watch the nukes, they'll rip hate fairly easy if they're well geared. Bring a ton of echo drops.
