Can the key item from Hrosshvalur really drop in gold chests in Abyssea - Vunkerl? I'm trying to build some popsets, but keep getting the same key items again and again, not the last few we actually need >.> Right now I'm only missing 1 key item from 3 different sets, but I assume I probably have to kill Dvalinn and Lord Ruthven directly to get those... Hrosshvalur's key item has a note on wiki that it can drop in gold chests, but I have yet to see it out of many hours farming so far...

Replace ROM/240/111 (Abyssea), ROM5/8/92 (XarcaS), ROM5/8/93 (WoE) with whatever model you'd like. You can find the one you want instead of them, using Altana Viewer. Not on my PC right now, so I can't check, but moogle should be ROM/3/56.dat.

If only I can convince my LS to come help finish and pop my sets now... only last night we finally popped the Chloris set I'd had for months... and my Auger's Gloves didn't even drop >.>

So I just came back to the game recently after about a year and a half hiatus and I've got a few questions:

- What do WAR GA WS setups go for these days with all the new (well, new to me) Abyssea stuff? Elemental gorget/belt seem obvious, but what about the rest? What's the hierarchy of importance in stats like STR/ATK/ACC/Crit/DA?

- How much attack is needed to cap PDIF on Abyssea EXP mobs?

- Is attack food still the way to go or is it actually worth it to go for something else now?

1. Crit damage > crit rate > DA ≥ STR > attack > acc

2. Not sure on an exact number, but having some attack from gear is still needed, unless the mob is dia3 and angon'd. I think I sit at around 700 with cruor buffs, and atma. Add in berserk, food, and stalwart's, and I'm probably capped 90% of the time.

3. Yes. Red curry buns for non-gimps, Bison Steak for slight gimps, Yellow curry buns for NQ gimps, and pizza for mega-gimps who need acc still. Carbonara if you need it for the STP. Sushi is useless aside from trying to proc red !! with bare minimum skill to unlock the WS.

I would think THF + WHM can duo almost any NM. Get a MDT set for THF and eva gear and you should be fine really.

We only tried Dvalinn once, and it was nasty >.> I guess maybe we could try with more MDT gear, but my husband said he'd rather wait and do with LS... We were fine on the other NMs we've done, Flayers, Lord Varney, Minhocao, but that dverger pissed him off bad...

I've wasted twenty hours trying to solo WHM AF3 Feet off of Trees in Attohwa building nothing but Pearl and Amber lights and I swear if I see another Venomous Wamoura Feeler I'm gonna scream.
