Side note, has anyone worked out what actually needs to be done to relics to make them the best weapon again? Is it just WS mods, or a complete overhaul is needed in terms of xDMG proc and other factors.

Relics have a "5%" (and that seems to be generous) proc rate on dealing triple damage, which will never proc on WS. Majority of their add effects are meh, most of the add effects dont do much from a DD standpoint (crit rate effect on mandau pales in comparison to what RR gives), all the WS's are 1hitters regardless of how they look with decent WS mods.

Empyrian WS's are either "Deal double/triple damage", multi hit, crit...or all of the above, not to mention the ODD has a very healthy proc rate when its active, AND it procs on WS too.
