Stealth bow or silencer pistol by far best way to play.
So, uh, anyone else get sub 1 fps in the blood bath at shanty town with tressfx? I get 50+ with it off...
nvidia optimizations coming in the future etc http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/art...ment-820105287
I pretty much use bow only. Jennifer Lawrence effect.
Bow onry and I get headshots all day. I'm actually surprised at how good this game is. Loving all the exploration.
I use an Xbox controller on PC to play; I couldn't find a list of buttons controls for a gamepad in the settings.
I basically said to myself, "this button SHOULD do this", and so far, every thing has.
The sound is perfect, the graphics are insane, the controls are PERFECT (controller), Lara is beyond likeable, the combat is fun as hell.
A+ game. Best single player game in a LONG, long time...maybe since Resident Evil 4.
Im in full agreement, it's definitely a lot of fun. For once i want to email a game developer and tell them they made a fantastic product
for anyone who wants to do MP, private matches still give exp, and you can get achievements in them.
Farming method I found online:
So now for the method itself. Start a 20 minute game of Rescue (a solo game is preferred), and pick the Survivors side. In the match settings, change the Medkits to Retrieve option to the max setting. When selecting your perks, take Second Wind (if you have it) and Advanced Looting.
Now when the match begins, run around collecting Medkits as fast as you can and dropping them off at the designated area for exp and salvage. The medkits can spawn at random locations but the dropoff point will be the same every time, it’s somewhere near the spawn point.
When the round ends you’ll switch sides to the Soralii, but as you’re the only person in the game there are no Survivors to kill. Exit the match (there shouldn’t be a penalty) and start another one. Rinse and repeat for infinite salvage and max level.
This method gets you a little under 30k XP and approximately 2k-4k salvage on each match

Wonder how long it will take to get patched / bans handed out.
Wow you guys were not kidding about the death scenes
Beat the game today, 14 1/2 hours and 83%, definitely a game motivating me to 100% it since I love the metroidvania style. If only I could find the last freaking totem in the Coastal Forest.
Also good fan service moment during the final scenes.

my only complaint is the quick time events, on pc they are a real pain in the ass because they dont tell you what button to hit every time so you're left guessing until you happen to mash the right one, til then, get eaten by wolves 5 times.
this is one of the only PC games that I really feel having a 360 pad is an immense advantage tbh
I got confused at the start with regards to the QTEs but after a few times you should figure it out pretty quickly. The Left/Right arrows should be obvious enough, and the timed inputs with the little indicator circle are only coming from melee attack queues. Anything else except for sequences where you drop from zipline to zipline is just mashing out E.
Also, for those that got the DLC Tomb that was free w/ Steam purchase, if you go back there after getting the grenade launcher there's an extra room with around 700ish~ salvage and some xp in it.
I can't wait for the nude patch. :F

Question
Is this game similar to that of the Tomb Raider 1/2? In terms of truly going into "tombs" and exploring mythical type areas.
Levels like "St. Francis' Folly" "The Great Pyramid" "Temple of Xyan" etc etc. I feel like all the new tomb raiders are cheap adventure knock offs of Metal gear solid, just doesnt feel right. I don't want to stealth kill humans all day, i wanna kill some ridiculous looking minotaurs that launch black shit at me. Hoping that this game can turn it around and bring me back to the fun times of Tomb Raider 1/2
Totally different game, the "tombs" are optional side areas with usually just one major environmental puzzle. It's much more in line with the platforming/shooting style of the Uncharted series, though with alot less funny.
