Not only that, but you'd think they get a bigger piece of the $50-60 pie compared to retail outlets and sales on consoles and that they'd want to report that. Apparently it's true either way though, since it was enough for the president to step down.

I do hope this doesn't mean we won't see any more games like Deus Ex, Sleeping Dogs, and Tomb Raider.
At this point I'd much rather see more games like those than more FF titles.

Anyone playing this with an Nvidia card? I am using a 670. Getting some major graphical glitches. At first, when I saw Lara hanging and all type of crap patterns across her body, I thought it was some paintings they put on her, and some MJ shiny gloves. Then I saw more and more glitches until I finally escaped the cave and saw nothing but pink everywhere. I knew something was up. Using 314.22 drivers. Anyone else having this issue or had? Know how to fix it?

I played through the game at launch with a GTX 670, albeit without updating drivers. No real problems. Did you disable Exclusive Fullscreen? That is/was known to cause issues for nVidia cards - mine wouldn't even launch with it enabled.

Otherwise, the game locked up on me twice during the entire playthrough, no graphical errors that I can recall.

I did not have it disabled. It seems to have fixed my issue. I got a small stutter but the game is clear now. Thanks

    Adaptive Vsync isn't working though.

Adaptive V-Sync is completely hit or miss and has been since they came out with it. Some games it works pretty well on, others it doesn't do a damn thing. No matter how well it's running though, you're going to get screen tearing if you're not running full V-Sync.

It's not an option available to everyone ($$$), but I made the plunge to a 120hz monitor a few weeks ago and now never have V-Sync enabled (Frame Limiting some games with Nvidia inspector though). Screen tearing still happens but it generally goes by so fast I only notice it if I'm actively looking for it.

Huh. I am actually on the fence right now with buying the Asus VG248QE (144hz) monitor. I am struggling between it and the Asus PB278q. I really would like an IPS and (2560x1440) monitor for image quality and colors, but the non-smooth game play of 60fps is really starting to bug me. People always cry that you cant see the dif between 30 fps and 60 fps. I know that is BS, I see it. And lately I have been noticing how bad 60 fps is when just panning the camera around. Tomb Raider is looking awesome at 1080p, so I think 1080p will still be able to deliver great images, just the colors of TN aren't great to me. Especially blacks. B&H has the VG248QE for $265.

I use a 2560x1440 ips, and i could never go back to a lower res or non-ips. TNs are just soo bad. There are ones that can be overclocked to 120+ hz, but will cost about twice as much, and might be hard to come by. The one i've got isn't stable above 67 hz, which isn't amazing, but is good enough for me.

I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824014270. It's "only" 1080p and a TN panel, but image quality is great if you spend some time tweaking it around (colors are kind of ass out of the box, but a few minutes of google sets you on the right path for image adjustments).

i don't remember running into too much in the way of glitches/bugs on PS3, except I caused the game to hang a bunch of times due to moving too fast through certain areas. i got into the habit of roll-cancelling through long stretches of terrain because it's a good bit faster than straight running. i assume the game loads assets within a certain distance based on how fast you can typically move, and doing that for long enough will cause you to hit a 'boundary' where the game needs to display something that hasn't been loaded up yet.

that, and the final skill that's supposed to mark collectibles on your map if you press the 'how do i solve the puzzle' button while they're in range was broken. worked about three times for me and then just refused to function after that, no amount of zoning/reloading/rebooting would fix it.

Anyone having high temp problems? My 670 power edition runs 67-70c running TR. It normally runs 58-60c on any other game. I have great airflow.

Tomb Raider sets franchise sales record

Seems the game is doing well despite being a 'failure' on sales.

Lol, so it did not meet expectations for sales, but set a record for the series? Wut?

I know right. Give me 2560/1440 ips that can do 120hz natively. PLEASE. I'd settle for 80hz/100hz, 60hz sucks donkey balls.

I honestly think they could pull off a 75hz 2560x1440 monitor with our current level of technology. 2560x1440s are just now starting to come down in price from around $1k. I shudder at the thought of how much 2560 120hz monitors will cost. Or even how much OLEDs and 4k(prolly like 6 years off) will cost.

I also figured out why TR runs my 670 so hot. AMD Gaming evolved games really screw up on Nvidia platforms. I just got hitman and noticed the same temps and no adaptive v sync functionality. Last I played sleeping dogs, I had some graphical problems. I dont own Crysis 3, but the Beta had me heating up as well. I could be wrong, but things arent looking good for Nvidia. With all next gen consoles running AMD processing, I would assume that all the console ports would run better on AMD hardware. Could be wrong though.

You could get them for like $350 until people found out they could get up to 120 hz. I believe 120hz.net now sells them for around $700, but they might not have any available.

You can still buy those monitors for ~$400 on ebay. I don't like the absence of a real warranty, monitor adjustments, and native support for 2560x1440. I'd wonder how long those monitors can keep up and how they even look compared to a authorized monitor.
