Love how its the perfect mix of challenging with just enough help ti keep it from feelig overwhelming. Was trying to find all the items and eventually came across a map that showed me where everything was by the time I got to the end of the area. Fucking gloruous for 100% on the first go but not making it too easy or obvious.

Challenging is not a word I'd use for anything in this game so far, I set the combat difficulty to Hard and I had to double check and make sure I didn't put it on Easy after the first actual "boss" fight.

Doesn't stop the game from being fun though.

So yea amazon has it $5 cheaper and its just a steam code that you can activate. Not bad. So all those wanting the game on steam and getting the purchase error, amazon works.

The tressfx...kinda sucks imo. It looks gorgeous, but once the animation starts it just bounces all over the place all silly like. Definitely not keeping it on.

So, I've never played a Tomb Raider game, but everything I've seen so far has me pretty interested in this game. Given that I have nothing invested in the franchise, is it worth picking up now or can I wait a few weeks/months?

Anyone else irked by the fact that she suffers a puncture wound to the stomach and not only has zero difficulty preforming acrobatic feats, but miraculously stops the bleeding by doing nothing?

So, I've never played a Tomb Raider game, but everything I've seen so far has me pretty interested in this game. Given that I have nothing invested in the franchise, is it worth picking up now or can I wait a few weeks/months?

Its a single player game, and I hear the multiplayer is forgettable. If youre strapped for cash just wait for the price drop.

And it doesn't get infected. I have not played, maybe she treated it in game. I also notice her taking a lot of hard hits, falls, and collisions and still moving un-phased. Alas, it is a game. Wouldn't be much of a game if she fell on a nail in the beginning and game was over. Or if you got a timer before the infection set in and fatigued you until death. Too much realism would ruin the game. And it is a game.

Not too far in, but the game feels like it takes place over a day or two. Infection isnt a worry but its obvious so far that shes had a lot of survival training from this mentor of hers. She probably pissed on a leaf off screen and treated herself.

I know it's a game, but its the little things that bug me. Like how you're alone on an island, already abducted once, and you start an open fire on a cliff at night (and therefore declaring your position to future abductors) instead of using the perfectly good blanket on the ground to get warm. Or "sneaking" around in a place that there's obviously people of some kind, and making zero effort to conceal the amount of sound you make even while going slow. Maybe I'm just nitpicking idk.

I don't care about immersion, I care about the fact that someone who's had a lot of survival training lacks basic common sense. When shit doesn't make sense, be it movie, game, book, whatever, it bugs me a bit. =/
