Yeah, they're bought with Dominion points. 300 points per shade. Managed to get slightly over 15k Dominion points over the course of getting DNC from 85 to 90, which paid for the 50 shades.

Shades are for Magian OAT upgrades, similar to Daybreak Souls in Bastion.

Anyone know if low levels get hit with an xp reduction like in bastion?

I was getting 1500xp for op 6 in Altepa as lvl 43, was pretty decent. Solo dbox was like 6-8k/hr but with a couple people that can double.

So you can trade trophies of different tiers for higher tier ones. It takes 2 of a lower level one to get one trophy that's one step up. It looks like each trophy tier is one piece of the evolith armor look-a-like sets. I got a talar for my rdm mule and it had +1 eva >.> Has anyone found a use for these trophies besides these random augments or is this their only use?

So in other words like 99% augmented gear it's not worth the effort. Why hasn't SE figured out that we should at least get some choice in the stats we get. Even if you could pick like War hands haste, str, and stp or whatever and have a really low chance of getting like +4% haste +6 str +3 stp then people would be all over this. Just the fact that's a total crap shoot means no one wants to bother.

anyone noticed that you can get random item(not key items) triggers from gold boxes that provides NM names that drop them but theres no such time spawn or pop NM in the zone?

Few examples are the buffalo NM ra hide that he drops, and also some golem and bomb NM ra item that drops but when u go to their respective areas, you will never find the ??? or even the NM thats described on the item

this makes me believe theres a "T2" for these NMs, which will drop body seals, that will drop key items for T3, which will drop the items needed for +2

theres no fucking way you can only get body seals from dominion, and T2 of VNM only drops 4 type of body seals

Go check the Dominion Tactician for that zone. Killing the T1 NMs enough opens up the T2 ??? pops. The Tactician shows the % the NMs are at like theDominion Sergeant shows OPs levels are at.

The NMs % goes up like 3% per kill.

edit: As of this morning, Lakshmi had only opened up 5 T2s and 2 T3s in all 3 zones.

It seems to me as though Dominion is really just the slow-release consequences of how new mobs and NMs have been appearing in older Abyssea areas. Except this time they implemented it into a formal system, which I like. It makes it much more comprehensible and objective. This way if there's an NM you want to work on getting to, you can check the status, then go take actions accordingly. Instead of just having no clue how or when the next wave of things might spawn.

anyone can confirm if the T2 drop bodies?

so to summarize:
1.i need to clear all 100% of an outpost's OPs in order to spawn some NMs or ???s to pop them: Tier 1 NM
2.kill enough Tier 1 NMs and check with the tactician the influence %, if able to bring some NMs to 100%, you can spawn Tier 2 NM
3.same for above, kill enough tier 2 to pop the final HNM tier

I can say that Dominion is a very nice alternative to those who don't have a lot of time to commit to long Abyssea grinds. You can duo or take a small group and easily get up to 50k/hr if not more under the right conditions. As for lower levels, some of us from my LS went into Altepa and did #5 tigers and one of our members was 42 and 2 hrs later was 47. I am sure this will catch on for lower level players trying to level instead of opting to be a key person (unless they start the pt themselves). We started off with about 7 people but started absorbing other smaller parties to cut down on competition and towards the end of the night we almost had a full alliance going.

I think I'm gonna test how far away you can be and still get credit for a kill. It could be really interesting to just have a leech stand at the NPC and get some friends/LSmates to slaughter the target mobs without re-upping their own Ops. I could see how taking turns doing that would yield better results than if everyone had to stop and run back to the NPC every 5 mobs.

You could power someone up really fast that way without having to worry about building lights or an XP chain.

Typical Abyssea Zerg/exp Alliance in Aby-Ule yesterday. 5 BLMs, 4 WAR/SAMs, 2x MNK/WARs, 2BRDs, 2CORs, WHM and 2x leechers/key whores.
Hit 182k/hour spamming Buffulos after 3 hours. 668 Exp/Kill. About 30-60 seconds to kill 5 Buffulo. 4400 Exp Bonus for completing 5/5 Buffulos.
Someone else in Alliance said they hit 260k/hour towards the end. But that was because they were just standing at NPC, activating OPS with no downtime running to and from, or missing the opportunity to add a kill to their Ops.

Don't know what its like in other Dominion Ops or in other Abyssea zones, but I made 40k Dominion notes in less than 5 hours, got 4 Pup hands, 5 Bale Hands, 4x Sylvan bodies. PLD 85-90 in a little over 100 minutes.

For this particular Dominion Op, BLMs are Key. 5 BLMs casting AgaIII's one shotted 5x Buffulos.
Its actually more efficient to have melee leech off BLMs till their MP is spent. Then have Melee zerg a few while BLMs rest near Dominion Ops NPC. Then have melee just stand around doing nothing while someone pulls and let the BLMs splurge.

The leechers came as lvl 40 and ended up as lvl 68 by the end of it.

EDIT: Also make sure you have a thf or nin or pld puller. Something with Movement speed that can stay alive pulling. Buffulos hit pretty hard.
You also wont hit the numbers above until you've spent at least 3 hours spamming it. Lights still play a key role in EXP, including Dominion.

It appears Buffalo and Buffaloes both work. I'd use Buffalo though. "I have many Buffalo. These Buffalo are hitting me quite hard."
