Friend asked for me to come with Th for behemoth if it popped. Didn't have a very good setup for actually killing KB( was supposed to just be my freind soloing behemoth) so joked about how KB was gonna pop instead of NQ.
I'm pretty sure you can guess what happened when you have 3+ people in party for claiming that have no idea wtf to do with a KB. It was weak as shit though. I'm prettysure the lolpup could have taken it down or if I wasnt on thf for TH for the supposed to be NQ behemoth i coulda been a mage instead and won.

The majority of the other people had technically never even seen a behemoth ingame and tbh i dont think any of em had ever fought one. My ass did try to kite it properly but exactly how long did you expect me to keep hate with only voke on thf vs a bunch of lv 90 that were too busy going "ooh lets go gank the easy nq behemoth" that take 30 seconds to notice it was the hq?(or for that matter listen to me when i told em to kite it)
I also was in range when meteor hit them while trying to find my tav ring as I didnt know how big a range aoe was either(and kinda expected em to eventually read when i said kite it). So i guess there's a second fail there for me not running away further.

The fucker was pretty weak too. Is there actually any reason to not straight tank it if you have a DD with mdt swaps+ mage?

Jesus, I've had nights like that farming pops in other zones though so I feel ya :/ cleaving at all or just going for the NM's? Because if you're 5 hours in with no KI to show and you're cleaving then holy christ your luck is awful tonight D:

NMs. I find cleaving to be ineffective when it's just me and my mule. Get too many repeats and not enough of what you need. Only worth doing if you have some ppl to hold KIs so multiples don't get wasted.

Yeah very true, Canyon loves to give the same KI 5x in a row. That's good then, I would've felt awful if you'd been cleaving for 5 hours with no KI in chests >.> still sucks no KI for NM's though :/ and Noctules is a fucking cunt anyways, KI or not.

Though I haven't any pictures to illustrate this significantly shorter Abyssea story, I do, at least, have my memory to rely on.

Yesterday, a handful of friends and I -- a THF for TH, a RDM, a BLM, and myself, also as BLM -- decided to spam Cirein-Croin during the late night hours, when hardly anyone else was around. We had a trio of pop sets, and were hoping to finish off some of our Empyrean armor. When we arrived, there was a small collection of people doing a whole lot of nothing. I'd say there were about five of them, being two Black Mages, one Ninja, a Red or White Mage (I can't recall which), and something else that was being particularly noisy in /s. We popped Croin, and the aforementioned noisy fellow started mocking us and our fish-fighting tactics in /s, talking about how slow it was, slapping the fish, and so on, so forth. Apparently further annoyed, one of their BLMs said "I could kill it faster if I soloed," which I really didn't give a rat's ass about, as I was busy not failing at a low-man kill.

We unfortunately had to go through the whole roster of spells, and were unable to trigger yellow, which was sad. Still, we managed to defeat it in a reasonable period of time, taking our time and ensuring we didn't do anything wrong. Afterward, we let the irritating little braggarts go.

As we watched their NIN straight tank it, we waited, seeing that their oh-so-proud BLM was spectacularly failing to outperform us solo, not to mention as part of a group. Then, perhaps out of their burning desire to outperform us, they nuked obsessively -- pulling Croin's attention and ultimately dying to it (as I suppose running, Gravity, and Bind were all unheard of options in the mind of such a casting genius). But moments later, the other BLM perished similarly, leaving the NIN to kite all over the place -- rather than simply using the bridge, for some Godforsaken reason -- and, all in all, their fight certainly took a lot longer than ours. We made a retaliatory show of this by targeting Croin and /dozing, /huhing, /comforting, and so on, so forth.

They never said anything to us in /s again the entire time we were there.

EDIT: As for the equipment they were wearing, I do recall the smaller, quieter BLM wearing full Teal, and the other wearing Literae armor, though I don't know what its augments were (although I wouldn't have been surprised if they were useless). The NIN was almost if not completely pink. Alas, I have no further insight, since I didn't care enough to /check any of them.

Think the real fail is you not Flux'ing it in order to reset weakness until it was one you could proc. Did that for every single one of my Chloris-related NMs.

Had no trouble at all when we did it WAR + WHM. Make sure you Slow/Para on with the WHM (which you should be doing anyway) and try to "navigate" the Flux menu faster maybe? Also don't DoT it - Treble only starts to hit like a truck at lower HP and it doesn't have much HP anyway, so you might as well keep it between 70% and 100% whilst trying to proc red.
