Anywho, my friend asked me to help out cs/stun for their DL in Dynamis Xarc tonight (fairly sure after tonight my friend isn't gonna be doing much with this ls). I kinda want Tekko for skilling up Ninjutsu when the update hits so I agreed. Plus I needed the win anyways since all my LSs that have done DL have failed miserably. Another story for another time though. We enter the zone with 32 people. The amount of Perle was ungodly. One DRG in particular tp'd in mostly perle, str rings, af2 body (nq) and only used Raiden Thrust for some godawful reason. Among certain gems that were peppered in ls chat was this, amongst bitching about R1s (so 2006):

A level 75 SMN who delevelled to 74 mid-run. Several times. What is this I don't even...

Other highlights of the run were taking 2.5 hours to kill all the NMs, wiping multiple times to the DeathEyeWall. Puller managing to miss several dragons on the way to DL, the BRD SVing minutes before we were ready to pull DL. Somebody suggesting we Skillchain/Magic Burst DL. The first CS stunner flailing his stun macro wildly instead of doing it properly as well as not even starting to CS stun until it was at 60% or so, which meant that everybody's MP was gone from multiple Manastorms or w/e the move is called.

Thing was barely dead by the time my (the second CS) 2hour wore, not that I could really do a good job CS stunning since all the BLMs decided it would be a good idea to throw random stuns in there as well. Oh and instead of -againg the Eyes on the NM walls, they just decided to engage everything at once, which lead to multiple wipes.

That being said, they got full drops from DL, a M. silverpiece on the first mob, several RDM hats and the only pair of Ninja hands that dropped, my entire reason for being there, went to somebody named Fatsack who outlotted me. I regret not ninja-ing the DL items and hundred piece that he dropped. At least then I would've gotten something worth my while aside from a stupid synthetic atma.

Not helping anybody with Dynamis ever fucking again.

no buffer for dynamis...... ragggggggge. Between meriting, level sync, campaign, and now abyssea, there is no reason not to have an xp buffer for an event where you can know ahead of time what job you will be on. I quit over a year ago but I still remember people who would have 1-3k buffer on their dyna job and would xp other jobs because they felt like it and then ask for R3s when they died. In fact, I remember this one dude who dlvl'd out of his stage 4 GKT (back when the cap was 75). >_>

Except the first 3 things nobody does. And if you read the screenshot properly he doesn't have Abyssea. "waiting on the update for exp boost" wat?

I only ever came close to deleveling on a job in dynamis pre abyssea because I WANTED to delevel.
I never understood how people could manage to not have a buffer after your first exp pt after 75 is over and i didn't even waste time exping a 44k buffer.

Not having Abyssea isn't a valid excuse for not having buffer. Campaign is soloable. Soloing mobs is soloable.(lol) That guy just sounds like a lazy dumbass and I would have done nothing but R1 to him.

32 people? Didn't someone say you could kill DL with Perfect Defense and a few DD/NINs?

Edit: nvm, forgot it was lvl 75+ and that SMN seems to have got rid of that option for you.

You're too nice. I wouldn't have even r1d him. I'd have made him HP.
