Actually, there is a weird chest glitch. It doesn't happen so much on PC but now and again if a mob spawns on a chest, even with F8 it doesn't let me target the mob and for some reason gets the chest instead. It's a really weird glitch I get from time to time, though rare.

I'm kinda amused at your guys using lightning spells to make your life that much harder when day-wise lightning wouldn't even be on the list. >.> Water = Earth/water/wind day, which means fire/earth/water/wind/ice procs at most... ugh.

Oh no, I'm not saying that I can't figure out ways to target it, both of those are doable. xD Normally I just have the tank take one step back and boom, targetable.

We had to do that recently at Audumbla; two alliances of not-so-stellar gear were taking turns whiffing at it. We arrived at 30%, waited ten more minutes for it to die, watched them raise their only DD aside from the Afflictors MNK and decided we weren't forming a line.

Same thing happened to us last time we were in Chasm.

Had 3 small groups in the zone: 1 at tunga/Wamoura spam cleaving and doing NMs. 1 at Amun/percy building sets. And 1 duo (kannagi/whm) killing the SWs. Claiming Amun everytime it was up and killing SWs in about 4 minutes, making good progress when all of a sudden a full alliance of half gimps and what appears to be 2-3 LSs (I assume shout group) shows up to pop SWs.

At first I thought "full alliance, should take them 4-5 minutes per SW" so I agreed to alternate and work on time/etc while they killed. However after watching them kill the first one for 20 minutes (their poorly equipped DDs not turning when it was WSing, continuing to feed it TP when it used Suction, and generally wiping a couple times), it became apparent that alternating wasn't going to work.

However, trying to continue to be civil, we even offered to drop alliance and kill their pops for them (which they found insulting apparently).

I had even planned on just giving them all the +2 items from our sets for waiting, but after trying to convince them to go target something else for a while, or move to a more timed based alternation system (We kill 3, then they kill 1, so it's 20 min each), they just sent their entire alliance to the ??? to pop each time.

Luckily they were all retarded at popping and we still killed 3 SWs for every 1 they killed, while half their alliance sent us tells asking for +2 items.

I hate being the assholes who feel "annoyed that someone else dare camp against them", but it's really frustrating to plan a night around a certain zone and watch an incompetent group waste your time for hours.

Yeah. Ours got into a little bit of a spat in /say. Some guy called us assholes for not waiting in line, I basically told him to relax, that we only had 3 to kill and we'd kill them in ten minutes then be out of the way. It broke down into RL card being played, that we clearly only had Empyrean weapons because we have no lives, and that his full-pink thf was the best he could do with the time he had to play in, so fuck off, blah blah blah typical gimp attitude.

Our group of six drove out twenty~ people despite only having three pop items initially, and I ended up talking hockey with the dude afterwards, but holy shit don't expect the server to wait on you when you take so long to kill a single monster with twice as many people as your competition.

The time before I actually gave the other group there a few pointers on making the fight a bit quicker, to which they responded with "alliance us or shut up". I was being pretty polite at this point, mind you, and it was only things like not having your THF melee it, or not having your mages cast banishes against a light-based mob giving it additional TP.

Like I said, fuck civility with gimps.
