Lilith world is the same than ours, but with Shadow Lord alive. Then they should have Crags etc..

But I may be wrong ... I'm an abyssea noob.

That form of Lilith is comprised of Lilith absorbing Lilisette, and her power as a Champion of the Dawn. Seeing how Lilith is more or less a goddess in her own right in the World of Strife, taking the power of Altana turns her Ascendant - more or less the form of Altana herself. That's what I got out of it at least.

There's already YouTube videos uploaded showing cutscenes and battle sequences for both When Wills Collide and Maiden of the Dusk. Search for them.

Also, according to the Hall of the Gods DAT, you meet with Gilgamesh and Eshan'tarl sometime during the Abyssea storyline, and it is explained that the crags containing the mothercrystals within them were once there and had disappeared - the reason being, the mothercrystal begins pulling itself back together as a result of Promathia's awakening and eventual triumph over the Champions of Abyssea. The reason for the lattice-shaped breakdown of the land is the result of the mothercrystals pulling themselves together, pulling the land along with it. The presence of the Abyssean hordes is also due to Promathia - the hordes were created specifically to kill the five races in order for Promathia to absorb their inherent Emptiness and reach his full power (true death).

Wait, if the Mother Crystals rejoin, then Vana'diel will cease to exist as it is, won't it? IIRC, the Zilart were the only race during the time before the Great Meltdown and the world was very different. The crystals rejoining would also rob the Terrestral Avatars of all their power rendering them normal beasts.

Abyssea - Empyreal Paradox is in the dats so this quest likely leads to the Shinryu fight to end the abyssea storyline.

On top of beating all 6 Caturae? That's a bit much? Was hoping this quest would be a separate thing but you're probably right...

Ugh, you probably have to whoop all 9 bosses just to get Esha's quest.

That's exactly right. Abyssea IS Vana'diel for all intents and purposes. Its just a Vana'diel with a different name and where Promathia was successful in initiating apocalypse.

I think it'll work like this:
- Beat a Heroes boss to initiate Eshan'tarl's quest line.
- Beat all nine bosses to continue to the next quest, which is to kill Caturae.
- Beating Caturae allows access to Empyreal Paradox.

The other 3 (discounting iratham since hes sort of an odd man out) are probably in each Heroes area eventually when Dominion has advanced enough. Thus it's not possible to finish Abyssea missions or (probably) obtain Twilight gear until the caturea spawn in Heroes.

Are we absolutely sure that there are three more instead of two? I thought it was odd too that there should be three more but the quest only mentions six total.

Any ideas on what they'd each be called for that matter?

Maybe because we want to see the end of a three years old expansion? The fact that the Atma doesn't show up means that either we're missing something or it's not working properly.

Well if its enough MDB I could idle in PDT gear and not have to worry about getting my face blown off by OP magic spells? I'm not boss enough to switch to MDB gear before a spell goes off q.q

It looks like a situational atma for tanks for use against something that throws out a lot of magic damage. Why's it a bad thing that shit's situational?
