While fighting Rani today, someone mentioned this, and I started paying attention at it. It was definitely at 10% intervals, but this changed with heals etc. And Rani started being a clever girl, tossing a charmga to distract the stunners into sleeping, and then doing meteor. It tried this 3x in one fight, was pretty funny.

The -DT gets really annoying after about 20-30 minutes. Not sure if its time based or increases each time it does a specific TP move, but it definitely gets noticeable quick if you take long Proc'ing Blue/red.

Grats to the 5 Earrings and 3 rings Phoenix got tonight, and a big FUUUUUU to the people that came to lag us, and spam tells with "how many more you doing" after not lifting a finger to unlock it.

Meh, meteor isn't really that dangerous if you keep shells up, but good to know anyway I s'pose. Guess next time I fight I'll save the logs to figure out if DT is time based or based on something else, I imagine I won't find much since it's so spammy w/ everything but I guess worth looking into

I'm fairly sure this is blatantly wrong. It can access meteor randomly, have had it do it at several weird %s, which i guess if it doesnt count hp healed then maybe that might be true, I kind of doubt it though. It can spam charm or use it very infrequently, shits random. Thornyy pointed it out earlier to me in /t's and it turns out he was right, it doesn't rage, it just gains gradual dt-% w/ resistences up, so basically raging w/o the actual rage. Guess I never noticed since I'm alt tabbing so much

Doesn't change much for the fight tho besides the fact that you have to deal heavy damage at the start to keep it going down fast enough to kill within a reasonable amount of time. Or you could just con it and the "rage" resets, but I guess this isn't an option if asshole LS' are on your server.

It def meteors 5 times per fight at 50/40/30/20/10...if you saw it meteor at a different time, you dropped it's HP over the value very quickly. At the very least, it meteored at these values for us ~3 fights in a row, so seems unlikely it's a coincidence.

The gradual "Rage" seems close enough, by ~25minutes in it gets pretty hard to do real damage to it.

Same shit on my server...just a bunch of trio+mule groups who dont accomplish anything important, if its not a "mnk+whm" duo...half the NM's arent even available on gilgamesh yet. My group popped both the Uleguerand ang Grauberg bosses, would have done Altep too but some JP's beat us to the punch. But with all the Caturae info out, and the Shinryu info...theres barely anyone even bothering to attempt these.

Its unfortunate shitty shells can just brew there way past the hard stuff, I was kinda of hoping all the epic gear wouldn't go the the full pearl gimps and repeat the fait lux none sense, but it should make for some nice screen-shots for the gimp thread at least,

Just popped and killed it on Ramuh - probably the first to do so on our server, I think. A yellow-colored pearl HNMLS is fighting it right now.

#About Meteor
It did meteor on us at the 10% intervals starting at 50%. However, I've been watching this other LS fight it, and Meteor was not attempted at the 40% mark (they got it down to 37% before getting into some trouble). It's first attempt to Meteor us at 50% was paralyzed.

update 1: They had too much trouble with it and it regen'd back to 55%. It went unclaimed and regen'd up to 65% or so. They re-claimed and fought it back down. This time, at 40%, it did use Meteor. However, it did not use Meteor at the 30% mark. They've pushed it below 25%.

#About the DT-
This seems to come and go. After a short bout of resisting everything, it stops resisting. Summoner BP damage was also affected by this. I saw where after the DT- wore off, people were able to do full damage WS and such. I noticed this happen several times in our attempt and in that other LS's attempt.

Looking back at logs Dt-% was 50% from melee dmg by about 25-30min mark. It seems to gain it in chunks that are pretty signifigant (crit swings hit from 120 then down to 80 then down to 50-60) I think it's every 10min it just gains -dt%. Not sure about any other forms of dmg. Other possible DT-% factor would be times it uses stygian sphere which would also make sense just from a mob construction point of view (ala Ovni). Would be cool to figure this out so we can find out the best way to take down w/ a low amount of people w/o having to idle it.

I have the unfiltered log from that other LS's fight. I did see what looked like a pattern for that DT down - basically, a string of zero damage followed by the DT wearing off. I'll examine the log later today.

Also, when that other LS re-claimed Rani, it continued to use IV-ga spells.

Eat shit for trying to talk about shit you don't know. Sunday my LS spammed IC Smiter from 21%-53% proccing all !! for extra %. Than we ended b/c it was getting late.

Came back Monday planning to finish it off and try out Rani, but a couple other LS's were already there spamming it for seals. When we finally popped one it was up to 91%. So we finished it off And tried Rani.

May I ask how much percent your amazing LS contributed to the percent towards Rani? Or do you just like to talk shit?

I was under the impression it used higher tier spells as its hp got lower so if you idle it @ 30% and reclaim without it regening it still will start from 30% AI. I have yet to witness DT "wearing off" other than completely idling it, based on others reports of fighting it I would say this is unlikely that it happened, but I was wrong w/ meteor so who knows, possibly AI related as well.

its a random question but relevant for this thread/rani. Is meteor considered magic damage? If so a stacked dd pt cycling fool's powders after 50% should do the trick without any mess (other then charms)
