To try and settle some silly arguments I keep hearing: the hide from the tiger NM, do any !!s influence it's drop rate? That it isn't 100% made me sad.

Proc'd blue and grellow and didn't get the hide to drop on either. I suppose we could've hit that 1% but it was enough for me to not try again.

I have no idea what is going on in this thread, but both Amarok and Orthrus are forced-popped. Amarok requires Tiger King Hide, HQ Dhalmel Hide, and Sharbaba(sp) Hide. One's from the timed pop Tiger in the Manigordos, the other from the regular dhalmel mobs, and the third from the force-popped Kirin model manticore. Amarok drops a key item to pop Orthrus.

And yeah, Amarok is a really easy fight. I was just wondering why he kept roaring and why Lava Spit wrecked my face randomly, it only had a killer Lava Spit once, but it killed me right dead. Just wondering why it randomly did triple damage

Before I dump 90k in a Tiger King's hide, what's the best bet of ppl to get for taking my chances in a /shout group for Amarok/Orthus?

I'd be going mnk myself to tank, so that means at least a war and a nin for red !!, so what kind of support is needed after that?

Having the same problems with the hide dropping. We've proc'd blue+green-yellow probably 30+ times in the last 2 nights and have only had hide drop 6 times.

NM seems kinda buggy too; after we proc blue it will sometimes still attempt to use a TP attack, then stop, then keep trying until the effect wears off.

I seriously hope this is a bug, because after 2 nights of spamming this NM, which is about as long as it takes to do 1 part of a empy, we only came out with 8 Orthrus pops and 16 claws =/. That's with buying 2 hides from AH. So ya, tiger hide is total cock block atm.

Wow the JP are pieces of shit. They were xp'ing on Tigers and I was trying to solo the tiger NM for the hide , so I wouldn't have to pay for it. I get a link and they sit there and watch me die, let the NM run back to where it came from then pull the one that linked to me. Fuckers didn't even want the NM

so with that settled, I'm hearing some people say that red leads to it dropping, which strikes me as very counter-intuitive as red only works on KIs in other expansions, but I wondered if anyone has tried it, just on the off-chance it's true and ppl aren't being herp derp.

Tried red many times and got nothing.

As far as i can tell... Red = nothing Blue = cor earring Green = shitty mats like plat. ignots and helmet moles.

We probably got 5x more earrings than we did hides.

Red doesnt guarantee the pop item dropping for either the timed NM's or popped NM's like tabilla. Its TH based, or go find it in gold chests. We had 3 Tiger King hides in the pool at one time once.

Heard we had a shout group consisting of JPs mainly fail (last info i heard) at brewing Rani. Friend saw 3 brews popped, and there were also 3 Masamunes in the alliance. Wish I was there to see the fun.

Orthrus does Gates of hades,and something like gates of hades... but with 3k+ hp and fire carols if you have them the fights are pushovers... I did them War tank single whm with brd support and thf/grellow extras. Might not even need fire carol.
