Xilbaba is a joke. MNK WHM RDM he will only WS once a fight. Don't be a pussy and waste an atma on resist death, just stun it. If his 1 WS move happens to be blood saber, just kite for like 20sec and the aura will be gone. Once you're out of range the doom timer wears off and resets.

With slow2 and para, it's a joke to keep shadows up to avoid en-doom. Also, countering most hits also helps. Bring holy waters just in case, I guess.

I could be wrong, my one attempt to kill it was before much info was out, and it basically fucked us up with its flying TP attacks. But heres what I've deduced for +2 bodies:

Whats with the fame in this zone? Finally getting around to questing here and I did all the lvl 1 quests, some multiple (pursuer wing, graub greens) times and I can't get to level 2. At this point I have no idea if this is just me or what. Do some of these quests not give fame?

I did "Getting Lucky" for repeats. I it took me 16 of those (started out with 36 items, have 20 left), plus "Chocobo Panic" (10 woozyshrooms for abyssite), "The Mysterious Head Patrol", "Master Missing, Master Missed", and "The Perils of Kororo" to get rank 3 fame. I also did "A Mightier Martello" and "Refuel and Repenish", but I think I did those after I got rank 3. It looks like repeats aren't worth any more fame than doing them the first time?

Yeah, looks like the non-repeatable quests in this zone are worth 1 "point" , just like the repeatables, so you need to do 10 per fame level even if you include the non repeats.

What level are those quests? Other wiki is gaytarded when it comes to quests and lists them all as 3.

They must have been fame 2, since I stopped doing repeats once I was unable to unlock "Brugaire's Ambition" and "Voices from Beyond". I would check Eight of Hearts whenever I ran past him doing "Getting Lucky".

I did Getting Lucky once, Her Father's Legacy a ton of times (20-30+), and one of the Cardian quests, and I'm pretty sure I'm at max fame, fwiw...

Nerve Gas is a pain in the ass. After it uses it it has a curse aura too it seems. We usually have a few stuns because he can get spam happy with it.

Anyone have any good tips for fighting Teugghia? I would like to start farming that for BLM & DRK body seals, but the last time I fought it helping a friend out didn't go so well, there was lotsa of freaking hate reset.

2 WHM cure spam close to the DD. Had a super WHM, THF and BLM. BLM for trigger, THF dding and the WHM would just spam cure with solace the whole fight.

Almost all of its damage is from magic, I don't think it melees hard at all, and it's really blind. So yeah, it's going to reset hate a lot, but pretty much anyone should be fine with hate with proper gear. Just don't let people get too low on HP because it casts near instant cast ga spells after Autumn Breeze. It seemed awfully stingy on seal drops so at least try to cover the grellow procs to make it worth your time.

any job /nin, fight on tail, if serp goes through and knocks you back just hold tp feeding until you can get back on it's tail. Cosigned on completely harmless.

So for Alfard, Does tanking on the tail make nerve gas not hit you or he just doesn't use it?

I seem to recall him using nerve gas only once when tail tanking out of 15 or so total alfards, but I won't rule out that it might have been some mage who wasn't behind pulling hate just in time for him to pick a TP move. If he can target someone behind him with gas, it's extremely unlikely.

If something unexpected happens and he starts spinning though, expect nerve gas to be spammed. He loves back to back gassing. That happened more than once.
