Firas' argument was based upon western ideas of freedom being applied to a situation in Spain. I simply used the US Constitution for the sake of argument. It's all I have to base my opinion.

At first I found the op post and signature ironic. Then I remembered we are talking about a muslim. I'm anti-religion to the point that people who are atheistic like its a religion piss me off. I don't care if people believe a magic spirit is secretly in control of reality and you have to worship him so your "next" reality doesn't suck as bad as this one. But from the outside looking in, Islam is easily the most unaccepting religion, especially if you read stuff from the koran (idc how it's actually spelled) you see that friendly open minded muslims aren't like that because their religion dictates, they are being like that in spite of what their religion actually dictates.

Of course Islam is one of the younger religions compared to Christianity, Paganism, or Hinduism. In fact, the age of Islam is somewhat similar to the age of Christianity when Christians were involved in the crusades. Yes, Islam is a young religion acting out like a teenager rebelling.

This post is an example of why religion is terrible. It only manages to draw lines between people, lines that are so heavy people are willing to kill each other over them. When people tell me their religion brings peace I have to laugh.

I'm saying that for the better part of history, Muslims and Muslim theology WERE accepting of other people, Christians/Jews lived undisturbed in most of the Muslim world. Additionally, the religion is also quite accepting of converts to this day and the conversion rituals are very simple to go through. That's all I meant.
