No, he definitely stood there watching as the airships came up over the skyline. I remember cause I commented on it to my husband in the theatre. He stood way out in the open instead of dashing down the stairs as soon as he finished his call.

I thought he was the one that one-shotted an alien. Eckhart told him "good shot, now get outta there" or something like that, then he proceeded to go towards the stairs and saw the alien ship and just froze?

He was the one that shot the alien from the tower and Eckhart told him good shot, by that time the ship was around around the other side like you said.

Just came back from watching this. Awesome first half that completely fell apart once all the bullshit John Wayne heroics and "LAND THE HELICOPTER THERE!" antics started.

Another lulz about the movie was how pretentious it took itself on how everyone was an expert marksmen hitting nothing but the spot where the heart should be and never to the right of it until they find out. After that they drop like flies lol.
