In Uncharted 1, you had the extremely creepy and tense "zombie" sections followed by you emerging back to the familiar island - once a place of adventure, now with a crimson bloody sky as you approach the climax. Then, after some extremely tense gunfights you somehow manage to get onto this ship and fight back against all odds.
In Uncharted 2, you finally found Shambhala and had to fight your way through hordes of enemies - both native and human - before reaching the tree of life before the final battle with a fairly well developed antagonist.
In Uncharted 3, you find the Atlantis of the Sands, suffer a hallucination, ruin the villain's plan with three shots from a gun, watch one of the antagonists die to quicksand before beating the other in a short QTE sequence.
It could've been so much better if that hallucination was just the prelude to Drake's full past becoming revealed (since it is drawing the player's attention back to his past yet again, bringing up when he met Sully). So much more could've been done if only they had added a few extra chapters and not have Marlow's plan disposed of so easily.
