Mass quitting of jaded whiny dousches is probably cool with them, especially as many new players as I have seen popping up in 11. I usually only ever heard negative shit from friends and anyone I met about 11. Suddenly, people at gamestop are chatting while I am in there about how awesome 11 is now and how they want to check it out.
Almost 100 k quit ffxi and did not come back its prolly more than ff14
You need to understand how many of them quit in preparation for XIV, until you do this no one will take your opinion as anything more than trolling.
While we all know you're trolling, it is worth pointing out just how many posts pop up now with "hey I quit xi but am coming back now 'cos I hear the game is awesome" or some variant of; and I'm sure most of us playing XI have had friends who have come back saying the same sort of thing. I know I certainly have!
CoP was probably the most fun and challenging expansion to date.
While FFXI is much more playable to the masses now, some of us like a challenge and mobs that require more than a MNK and WHM with AH gear to kill. Let's have some HNM outside of Abyssea please (doesn't necessarily have to be world spawn)?
I'm not really going to pay attention to someone who writes prolly vs. probably.
prolly a good idea
Abyssea is fun. If you don't like Abyssea you are a moron and should enjoy the usual crapshute that is FFXIV. Meanwhile the rest of us will be enjoying the revitalization of the game.
Because +1 and +2 upgrade items arent a crapshoot.
Komoto was and still is the Director. Why do people think Directors & Producers are the same when they're not? Also, not sure what to make of Matsui moving to 14. On the one hand I'm glad, because I want 14 to succeed and I intend to switch to it at some point. On the other hand, the few updates XI has gotten under his lead have been phenomenal and I'd hate to see XI's quality drop as a result.
Well, Chocobo raising is much better than chocobo racing. Maybe that might be because it is much less ambitious, but I have to give him a fair shake. I don't know if he is responsible for chocobo racing and/or the circuit.
Chocobo Raising, at the time at least, was somewhat rewarding to the people who put in the effort. Granted it was annoying as fuck and I'm glad I never have to go through it again, but when I finally was able to call a choco with max end/str/gallop/canter it was worth it. Maybe not as much anymore, but meh. I'm still glad I have a maxed out choco to call and use it fairly often. Besides, Chocobo Raising was something that many people were clamoring for for the longest time.
Don't get me wrong, the system has its flaws and I wish I could call it anywhere, but considering the state of the game at the time, I'd say it's not as bad as people claim it is/was.
If you find it fun to spend hours in reskinned zones grinding, through a system that's been only superficially altered in the 3 times they've copy-pasted it, for upgrades that are completely unnecessary because nothing is difficult enough to warrant them, for the sole purpose of being able to jack off to your WS numbers you are a moron and should enjoy the crap that is Abyssea. It's like WoW minus the PvP and instances.
Also, the storyline was a fucking travesty. I've read better Harry Potter fanfiction.
