most significantly.. the AH. I don't think anything else was quite as marvelous as FFXIs AH system for the longest time in any MMO.. it made buying and selling extremely fast and convenient..

Sorry, going to disagree. FFXI had one of the WORST AH systems that could easily be manipulated to the benefit of those with enough money. The price history is what fked up the AH royally.

I'm blown out of the water... never expected to see SE eat this much humble pie. I guess at this point its do some drastic shit, or just quit. I still don't see a point for me to play the game while it is free since its also garbage to me atm. I will stand by I guess and see how fast they can put some content in the game.

For people saying they hope they basically emulate WoW... oh fuck god no... the fact that SE has always done straight up different style of content for endgame made 11 more interesting to me than WoW, where you spam battlegrounds, and then spam heroics/raids, and its all the same system each expansion. WoW is boring and stale, and al the other games that tried to be WoW fail, because why get the WoW that has less stuff going on in it?

The only thing good SE could take from WoW is the ah. I prefer WoW ah if for nothing else than the fact I could sell more than 7 items! But I would be happier as well if they just ignore WoW if it means making everything into a repetitive grindy load of shit.

I'm willing to bet you will see a shorter reset on guildleves very soon. I'm excited to see what a total overhaul will mean though!

The new productor is seriously an odd choice for this role. I think I'll like him though, based on his track record. I doubt he'll just FFXI or WoW the shit out of this game, but I bet he can also listen when needed- which is probably why he was picked in the first place, and the article hints at that too.

Especially the fact he has made several tactical strategy RPG's is intriguing. If they want to make XIV like that, no better guy than him in the wheel I guess.

Basically I have no fucking idea what's going to happen, and I'm loving it.

Well this is reminiscent of all the apologies that come in game play through the translator, for simple shit that we don't expect apologies for but are overwhelmingly surprised by and grateful for in that all of the apologies are so polite. It is also kinda sad because I think people are getting fired [Tanaka] rather than moved to new jobs or other jobs.. hmm maybe hey will be left on XI?
