Odd beep sounds coming from power supply?!

I don't know why its making this noise, its a very high pitch, but low frequency squelch and it started doing it tonight, it does it at random, sometimes for 10-20 min at a time, and other time it'll just do it once every few seconds, its about a year old ish :s and I've never encountered something like this before, I plan on buying a can of compressed air when a store is open and blasting it to see if that will fix any problems.

    edit -

it does have LEDs so does my case and when the LEDs in my case died they kept flickering and making strange noises kinda similar to this :s hoping that is just the problem.

Sounds like a diode problem. I can't think of anything else that could make a sound in a PS. I would suggest tho not trying to fix the problem and just replace it.

It's definitely a bad capacitor.. You need to replace the power supply because eventually that cap will pop and take your system with it.

I wouldn't risk it as you don't know when it will go and when it does as the person before your post said it will take your system with it.

just take it out and wait if at all possible, you don't want to have to pay for a new mobo and everything.
