You're violating the spirit of the contest. We all live throughout the world so we may not even get your station, and we're complete strangers to you. I don't think they intended for people to stuff the ballot. If I were the station manager, I'd disqualify you in a second.
That quote is directly from the page. How can you say I am violating the spirit of the contest. The commercial on the radio says to send people to the website to vote for your truck, that's what I am asking for. If you don't want to help me (regardless of being a stranger to me or not) then don't, I won't lose any sleep because your opinion is that I am doing something that I should be disqualified for. If you chose to vote for someone else, then that is your option. I am not forcing people to vote for me, I'm not paying or offering anything in exchange for votes, I'm just asking in environments where there are people with internet access to vote. I don't know how you call that stuffing the ballot. If anything, they are using this contest to drive traffic to their website and by me putting out this request then I am giving them what they want while trying to win something that I want.Someone is going to win a "Trick My Truck" prize package, but we need your help! Vote for the truck that you think deserves to win! One lucky winner will win a Grand Prize Package including prizes from Tire Distribution Systems, Trusted Detailing, Mild Too Wild Upholstery, Transworks, Custom Truck, and The Spokane Community College Auto Technology Department! Voting deadline is December 17th at Noon. One vote per day. Once you click on the button for the truck you want to vote for, make sure to hit 'vote' on the bottom of the page! To see a bigger picture of a particular truck, just click on the thumbnail.
Bottom line ... I guess I'm lucky you are not the station manager.
Ya'll just got Elphaba'd
Owned by the sexiest beehatch around today.
Send PEOPLE to the website. As in, people you actually know, who have a vested interest in the results or at the very least have any idea what you're doing. We're not people on this site; in fact, we may as well not exist to you at all. You'll never meet us, you'll never see our names or faces in person...you're tampering with the votes and stuffing the ballot, and I'll make sure action is taken in this matter.
It's the principle of the thing. I was involved in a radio contest a few years ago, and I never solicited help from the internet to get votes because I found it was inherently wrong. This guy is doing something completely against what the radio station intended for him to do, and they deserve to know what's going on so that this doesn't happen in the future. Imagine what the honest people in the contest are feeling, having their chances de-legitimized by some guy who thinks he can cheat his way into victory.
I lost, because some jerk did the same thing that this guy is doing now. I'm just trying to bring some justice to this radio contest.
Is the only thing you did to "trick" your truck (what the fuck does that even mean?) is put a little snow on it?
It's so beautiful I'm crying.
