What Do FFXI Players Want for 2011 and How Was 2010?

I'd also really like to change my character model. I'm not sure race changing is a great ideas as it makes no sense. But getting a hair cut/dye job at a stylist makes perfect sense in the context of the game. Plus we already have an NPC called Brygid the Stylist.

Lol think the thing that would worry me the most out of this would be if the Taru emote was the same as the "welcome", just seeing tons of tarus running around humping the air.

So what would be the likelihood of a full blown expansion? Something to ask on the new forums lol. I would say very small chance, they would definitely turn a profit though. I could see a lot of older players returning and at 15~25 a head that's a lot of money. I think the only way they would consider it is if for some reason they had to drop FFXIV and focus on FFXI as their only MMO.

I don't really think of it like that. I consider Abyssea an event in its own secluded system and rules. The only difference is that for the first time instead of gimping you to create artificial "difficulty" (COP dynamis SJ restrictions, Mission level caps, Salvage Pathos, Nyzul random buff/debuffs, etc.) this time the system works to buff you as you gain progress.

But in the end there's no reason to expect one events system to carry over into the main game, no more than you should expect to have your SJ locked out all the time.

I am looking forward to being gimped again. Everything is a cakewalk as it stands now. Get a Monk with all HP abyssites and a whm and throw them at almost anything in abyssea = win. lvl 90 made everything outside of abyssea a cakewalk. so yeah outside of abyssea events/fights, that actually can oneshot you would be nice (but not something retarded/impossible hard as AV was at lvl 75).

Dear SE, Please get rid of the biggest fucking cock block in all of FFXI. Dnc... I grow tired of waiting 45 min to an hour for some fuck wit dancer to solo the last NM I need for a pop only so he can show the world how no one gives a fuck that he can solo a NM at the brink of death and not proc. a god dam thing.

Not sure when this was posted but if you read properly (ironic), then you see that relic can be obtained within 50 hours now too.... You would also see that they added new mobs, gear and made relics obtainable by EVERYONE in the next update. Dynamis has a wait time of 1 hour and the zone is not locked or reserved anymore so you can enter whenever you want. NMs like shadow lord are force popped now or new monsters in the zone. I can realistically see someone getting a 10,000 byne bill in 1 day from doing exp parties in dynamis for 1 full day with his/her LS.
