You can do what you want with human characters, just spec the other human opposite if you want to see which suits you better.

You can get a power respec in the middle item pack as well, not just in spectre packs. Got one just last night.
Gold border though. Thanks for the clarification below.
You can get any item in any pack
Veteran packs just guarantee one uncommon (silver border), and spectre packs guarantee a rare (gold border)
So if the power reset item isn't uncommon or rare then just buy basic packs and you'll get one eventually
I found this out my complete Accident but you can use power resets with out consuming one by being in a lobby, using it then waiting till you either get kicked and host migrates then you can exit and your points will still be reseted but you will have your power reset back.
Interesting. I'm going to have to try that at some point when I get one.
I know I have a human dude to respec the other way but I rarely play male characters in video games. I know it's stupid but, to me, it's worth using the item on my fem engineer.
I don't have any non-human engineers unlocked yet and I don't play one as Shep. How is Sentry Gun vs. Combat Drone?
imo Combat Drone is far superior. Sentry Turret you throw like a grenade, and then it's stationary. It can bounce, too, so placing it well can be difficult. The drone can be summoned into being anywhere, even through walls and whatnot (it spawns on top of your target; if you don't have one, it spawns on top of you), moves around to find stuff, and has roughly the same combat strength as the turret.
Plus Cryo Blast isn't that useful as Engineer. I love it as Infiltrator, because it lets you line up headshots with the Sniper much easier, but as Engineer... I guess you could tote around a Sniper, but then your power recharge is going to be slow as hell. It doesn't do any direct damage, so I'd just as soon use Incinerate. It also sucks balls against shielded enemies. The slow effect is barely noticeable.
Besides, Overload is amazing. If you go for max damage and hit the Organic Stun perk, it's awesome against any enemies.... but most especially the Geth. It's instant and line-of-sight so you can't Curve it to hit enemies behind cover, but if they've got an elbow sticking out or are just plain far away it's really nice. The stun makes it useful against Cerberus and the Reapers, too. It still does damage to them, but not as much. I use the Locust (and only the Locust) with Light Materials, gives me +200% cooldowns and it's got insane range/accuracy. With Overload and the Locust, I can stunlock/kill stuff across the map. Especially Geth. Geth are my bitches.
Edit: Also, in case you weren't aware, Overload now annihilates Barriers as well as shields. Not quite as easily, but well enough to be worth using on Banshees and Phantoms. Especially because they can't dodge it, since it's instant. Evasive little bitches.
Is it just me, or is the Javelin annoying to aim, I have both it and the Widow and I love that the Javelin can see through smoke but it just seems so much harder to aim for some reason. /endminorgripe
Real question, I just unlocked Drell Adept and i'm trying to figure out a build for it, reave to me just doesn't seem very good, but I like doing flips and shit so I want to try to make it good lol.

Mix of all endings in RAVE FORM UNCE UNCE UNCE
Just finished the game. The only thing I have to say:
Spoiler: show
Force & Damage, Power Synergy, and Barrier for Biotic Charge upgrades.
Force & Damage, Power Recharge, and Pierce for Nova upgrades.
200% recharge.
PS and PR work in tandem with each other quite nicely. When you BC your Nova does more damage, and when you Nova your BC recharges 25% faster. Nova is where the real damage is at, BC is just there to make you invincible.
Only thing I'd disagree on with Rhyis is sacrificing the force and damage upgrade in biotic charge for the hitting 2 additional targets. Otherwise, if you charge into a pack of mobs, you're only effectively CCing one of them with charge, and the rest with nova.
The issue I have with hitting multiple mobs with BC is you can force them away, in multiple directions, from your nova blast. But yeah it's definitely viable.
Just finished the game. I think my reaction is best summed up with: "That was it?".
I mean, the reaper's rationale is one thing, the plotholes is another, but the real issue for me is how empty and inconclusive the ending felt.
I feel like Bioware not redoing the ending would do them more harm than good. Before this, people are already jaded at them for teaming up with EA, and then there was DA2 (never played it, heard enough tho), SWTOR, and now we have this ME3 ending debacle. Thats a lot of shit. I know EA is gonna look at this situation from a purely financial perspective before anything happens, but they need to know that Bioware's reputation has sunk to an all time low and giving Bioware the opportunity to fix this will give both Bioware and EA some much needed brownie points.
i've been using Drll Adept a lot, (promoted it and now lvling back up to 20 trying a different build) but the best thing i've found to get the most points/kills is just spam pull on shit your team mates are killing, if you have a vanguard as a teammate you can take most of his kills if your Pull lands before the Biotic Charge because of it being a Biotic Explosion closer you get the kill exp.
Reave is also a closer for Biotic Explosion so Pull > Reave will do tons of damage, and i spec'd myself for more power damage and with reave it lowers all defense so if your fighting something with shields or barriers and no one has overload just reave and it lowers defense a ton. for gun i guess use anything you want, but try and keep your cooldown low so you can keep using Pull.
my average exp per match without bonuses in silver is around 50-60k, and sometimes that's with a vanguard, it works well for me
I'm OK, and even impressed with the ending as long as we see some follow-through.
