I think the worst game endings I can think of were Halo 2 and MGS 2.

Personally I've never played a game/series that was this good that had an ending so bad. Can't speak for every game ever, but this was the series with the worst ratio for entertainment value until the ending for me.

Also I thought people were calling it Deus ex endings because the 3 choices were very similar to the 3 choices in Deus ex <_<

None of those games with bad endings were as big and built up at that point as the Mass Effect series which spans across several games, book, comics, and even animu.

Not only was the ending shit but it managed to destroy the entire franchise and all hope of a good mass effect after the events of 3. Especially on a series that build on characters and universe, they completely ruined it. Stop defending the ending and bioware damnit.

That game looks terrrible in general lol.

I still say MGS 2 has the worst ending since Metal Gear is a story driven series and it just fell flat on it's ass. Shit was convoluted as fuck. Luckily 3 made up for it.
