How do you guys have your Salarian Engineer set up? I'm REALLY enjoying being a road block with the Decoy. What weapons do you all use and what powers do you level?

I've been using a sniper rifle but I'm not the best shot so I end up not being very effective at helping clear waves. And I would very much like to be more effective.

Yea, salarian engineer i'm finding pretty fun to play thanks to its ability to survive and deal with almost any enemy. I'm doing okay with the sniper rifle, but i'm not sure it's the best way to go. I find enemies move too much (not the bigger ones) for me to get the best shots, unlike when i play as asari vanguard and use stasis to line up headshots with the sniper.

have they said why no ps3 support for those type of events?

They said the no support was temporary, at least until they could get everything cleared with Sony. My bet is that the Origin service is somehow linked to stat tracking for these events, and Sony doesn't want it prodding around in the back end of their system.

I get decoy maxed with the aoe shock (grabs the attention of mobs that would otherwise ignore it because they watched me deploy), passive dmg buffs, max energy drain and a few levels of incinerate and fitness.

The best thing to do is use a low weight weapon like a HP or avenger with ammo mod to keep spamming energy drain. It stuns everything, it doesn't just strip shields and do a little damage.

If I had the valiant, I would use a sniper, but Widow and BW are too heavy, slow and the damage is mediocre without cloak. I would suggest a scoped saber on silver, but on gold, stick to support and do everyone a favor by watching the flank!

Oh well. I still got a Phalanx II in my Victory Pack which is good since it's the only gun I use on my Human Engi

I have a carn VII and I just unlocked the paladin, but I don't have the phalanx yet...

Eh, pretty sure many people don't have access to the Saber and from the praise its getting on BW forums its going to get a incoming nerf anyways. Mantis is perfect for Salarian Engi. Weight is great and it does great damage and its easy as fuck to get the X version, if you need help with shot energy drain is great for stunning and decoy already provides an amazing distraction for getting headshots as well. But yea best bet is spamming the shit out of energy drain.

This, energy drain and a sniper rifle. Same goes for Salarian Infiltrator, grab the tactical cloak upgrade that allows you to fire off one power and still remained cloaked, drain then fire from cloak, rinse, repeat. Had some good success doing this with a Widow instead of Mantis in Silver.

Quarian Engi is interesting, They seem to be the closest thing to a support role. For the Turret you want shields/armor piercing/Flamethrower. Reason is because you want to mostly put it out in a general area so it can be used to prevent enemy advancement. Cyro ammo upgrade doesn't work as much as you would want it too.

Cyro is easily going to be the most used skill get max damage%+ and Area. Use it to slow down armored enemies and make them take more damage, freeze unprotected enemies, and stun shielded enemies. Its very important to get a low cooldown because you need to spam this and incinerate to make the quarian engi worthwild.

Incinerate should be maxed damage, follow this up on a frozen enemy to one shot them, the freeze explosion can also freeze nearby enemies. On shit that freeze won't work with like brutes, just spam this and they die easy.

The only thing I can't figure out is which gun is perfect. I like the Tempest, its shit by itself but with the damage boost from freeze or chilled its pretty good, a sniper rifle would be slow on the quarian engi. Its just important to keep in mind you need a low cooldown.
