Blah. Turns out I didn't get a Commendation Pack since it turns out all of my dust offs were on Bronze. =/

Oh well. I still got a Phalanx II in my Victory Pack which is good since it's the only gun I use on my Human Engi

Doesn't matter, the rewards are for everyone as long as the goal is met. I didn't even log onto the game all week end and got both Packs.

I got the geth shotgun 4 times in a row. And then a BUNCH of other shit. And then a week later I got the Paladin and the Carniflex back to back. I have only used the Paladin once and the Carniflex twice. I'd really like to get the Black widow at some point. =/ The packs are so random it hurts. I've gotten 3 stat redo thingies which are useless because it doesnt take all that long to just promote and re-level your shit.

I'd probably use a Javelin if I had one. I imagine seeing through smoke and seeing geth hunters easier would be pretty damned handy. Useless against Reapers though.

How can you say widow is better than blackwidow? Black widow was a complete upgrade over normal widow, it allows you to kill way faster.

If by kill faster, you mean do less damage. The only thing it's good for is killing bronze level weak stuff. The widow reloads almost exactly the same time it takes for cloak recharge, which makes the extra shots on the black widow completely irrelevant on anything worthwhile.

Not to get into a dick flailing contest, but considering I play infiltrator only, and play in gold, have both a widow and black widow, I think I'm well aware of what's good. Just so you know, the bonus damage on cloak lasts for 1.5 seconds after the main shot, meaning you can actually get 2 cloaked black widow shots off. Not only that, the damage is high enough as a salarian infiltrator to energy drain + shoot anything down. The overall damage you do is far better with a black widow, than your single shot sniper variation that does 30% damage more on a single shot, but you have 2 more black widow shots following it. You can't energy drain + widow a pyro down, you can with 2-3 black widow shots though. Anything else? Geth trooper, cannibal, centurion? 1 shot is enough if you pop em in the dome, anything else is 2 shots max (which a normal widow won't kill btw)

Damage on atlas, geth alpha, brute, banshee all is significantly higher DPS with a black widow than a widow. Also, did you know you can cancel the reload animation with cloak, meaning that you realistically lose no downtime using extra shots on the black widow, since you can only do it after you reload your single shot on a widow?

I have a widow VII and it's a great 1-shotter on silver, but on gold, the shield mechanic requires at least 2 shots even with shield drain. I use my bw 1 over my widow VII for gold... In fact, I don't use my widow at all, my avenger X, even on infiltrator, beats the scores of anyone else on bronze and silver.

My black widow does not 1 shot centurions in any difficulty (Maybe you've got a higher damage mod then I do to make it possible?). My widow does though. All 2nd tier mobs + Pyros as well (shoot below the neck to pierce the tank, boom).

Thing is you can guaranteed kill anything other than heavy armor things on a full black widow clip - you can't do that with a widow (at least on gold). Infact, you can get 2-3 mobs dead per bw clip if you do it well enough
