I typically just snipe. Find a good location where I can see multiple entrances, throw out a decoy and pick shit off. Use energy drain to stun them from time to time if they get too crazy. I used the Mantis X for a long time, but since moved onto the Javelin I got last night. Really like how it has the smoke scope built in. Also really fun shooting phantoms through cover in the head, since it also highlights enemies behind cover.

That piano song that played during the ending is one of the most depressing (and beautiful) tracks I've heard in a game...

Mass Effect 3 multiplayer kicks off 'Operation Raptor' this weekend
Xbox 360 and PC Mass Effect 3 players have a new N7 Bounty Weekend event kicking off at 5pm PST on Friday. Operation Raptor will run until Monday at 5am PST, awarding players in the co-op multiplayer mode a Commendation pack for meeting the individual goal of promoting two characters from the multiplayer to the single-player game. The allied goal is for the community to promote 150,000 total characters to the single-player campaign, which will net all players a Victory pack.

The contents of these packs will be revealed next week when eligible players are rewarded the goods for completing the requisite tasks. Additionally, all players will earn an extra 10% XP this weekend. As for PS3, BioWare says it's working with Sony to bring these N7 Bounty Weekend events to the platform and will update accordingly.

One catch: All willing to participate must set the "Upload Gameplay Feedback" option to "on."

I really wish I didn't absolutely loathe mouse/keyboard gameplay. I bought the first two games on PC when they went on sale for 5 bucks each and just can't play them at all. I own them for xbox, but don't have a 360 anymore since mine died a few months ago...so ps3 is my only option and there don't seem to be many people on ps3 multi and all these weekend events aren't happening on ps3...not to mention not having all the fun stuff from my me1 playthrough carry over. The big decisions are there from the interactive comic, but the random sidequest stuff isn't and that kind of bothers me. lol

What species are you that using dual-sticks is easier than a mouse on a shooter?

Sticks are great for some stuff and fine on other stuff like Racing games, platformers... pretty much anything BUT shooters.

I played ME2 on ps3 first. I got it on PC after for better controls and, the default ME1 decisions were horrible on ps3...

It's basically the same song as the opening song Leaving Earth. Just doesn't have the "reaper" noise, slowed down a little, and the whole thing is done by piano.

Both are really good. Clint Mansell does great work. I hope he does gaming music more often now. Music can make or break a good cut scene.

I really tried to play it on PC...I just cannot stand keyboard/mouse...it's clunky as fuck. I wanna sit back on my couch and play...not be hunched over trying to remember to keep my fingers in an uncomfortable position on a keyboard. I just can't do it. I played FFXI with a controller too. (gasp!)

The interactive comic on ps3 lets you choose your decisions, it just acts like you didn't do any of the side quests though. So no Conrad Verner etc popping back up in 2-3. Guess I'll have to break down and waste 200 bucks on an Xbox that I'll play twice a year.

    Mouse:
    1. Brain selects target
    2. Brain tells fingers to kill target
    3. Target dies.

    Controller:
    1. Brain selects target
    2. Brain tells fingers to move crosshair to target
    3. Fingers move
    4. wait
    5. wait
    6. wait
    7. Wait for reflexes to compensate since target has moved
    8. Brain says pull trigger
    9. Crosshairs aren't even on the target but auto-aim kills it for you.

Also it's more fun to talk Conrad into getting shot by thugs, anyway.

Ragnus, some packs mods are uncommon, therefore you may not see them in recruit packs for a while. At your next level, you should definitely take alliance training 4, and get the weight capacity upgrade (this is extremely important, so you can use powers more often, in fact you should have gotten it far earlier, but it's not too late. End with a 6 6 6 5 3 build

Okay cool. Does the weight capacity help beyond the 200% bonus I have now from only using a pistol? Then again it would probably allow me to use an Assault Rifle and remain at 200%.

Second part. The weight capacity increase won't bump your cooldown above 200%, but you can use a heavier pistol for better results. Typically, I'll use Predator until weight capacity is available for tech-y classes, at which point you can utilize a Phalanx and still get 200% cooldown (or just as well, a Carnifex with a slight decrease in cooldown reduction)

an upped carnifex allows for 200% as well, if that helps

Yeah. I'm looking to use a higher weight pistol but I only have a Phalanx II right now. My Predator VII has about the same damage rating as that right now.

Is there a place where I can see the stats on all of the weapons? Because the bars system in the game is really misleading.
