I cannot get over how stupid this IT thing is, or how gullible people are when they subscribe to it. You have ALL of the markings of a conspiracy theorist. Something happens that is awful, and you are so desperate to apply logic to an illogical event that you try to explain it away. Yet people can bring up the smallest amount of evidence that throws the whole fucking thing out, and you don't believe them. You bend the evidence to meet what you want to see, rather than let the evidence explain what actually happened. There is no reason for Joker to be flying away, for the crashing on the planet sequence, or for Buzz Aldrin if the whole ending was IT. It's not. Stop pretending it is. Bioware is NOT CLEVER ENOUGH TO PULL THAT OFF. If you believe it, you believe Bioware has competent enough writers to do something that contrived, and thus are sucking their cock voraciously. Stop.

I picked synth, so I was definitely trolled by Bioware if IT is real. Which I got no real problem with. I just don't like the idea of nothing actually being resolved, just more holes.

Ya, it's lame, but also something I could see EA doing totally. Why give closure when you can make a DLC or maybe even a ME4? Always wondered why they couldn't end it like the (less story driven) Gears 3 that gives closure yet leaves a fuckload of room for DLC or future games. Is that really so hard?

Neither is there any reason for those cutscenes without the IT, so what's your point? Or do you seriously expect us to believe Joker would fly away from Shepard who's in the rubble somewhere? Picked...the control ending I guess? I went up the ramp to the left. Once I got too close to the control panel thingy I couldn't even turn around and see what the other options were. I was just wandering. The ending was ambiguous enough that it can't make me really angry, because who knows what the fuck happened, but also unsatisfying in that if you did...um...something good you don't even know really what it was.

Very meh. I was expecting it to be way, way worse, or for it to be that Shepard was indoctrinated, which would've been terribly stupid (especially since you have a choice at the end, it's not very indoctrinate-ly).

This is not what a conspiracy theory is.

In its very definition, a conspiracy is an agreement between willing participants to commit a crime against the public at large. There is no crime here, and the only participant is BioWare. Unless you count the derpy writing in the end a crime and BioWare is all the participants. Have fun prosecuting that though.

The amount of backlash that Bioware has received over this has greatly damaged their name, product, and reputation. For a company to willingly do this just to throw a curveball to their fans is a ridiculous notion.

There have already been multiple examples of the developers stating one thing and then doing another.

While I can appreciate the fact that a lot of people are trying to spin positives out of this, there is simply no defending the end product. Now we will most likely be receiving DLC that Bioware will attempt to spin off as what they had envisioned all along. DLC that we're going to have to pay for, for the ending that should have been included right off the bat.

Bioware tarnished their own image. Instead of having one of the most memorable trilogies ever made in video gaming history, ME is now going to be remembered for the colossal fuck job that took place in the last ten minutes of the last game.

I'm never buying another Bioware game on release ever again. Funny enough ME3 was the first I bought on release and also the last from Bioware. This will probably haunt them a few years.
