I might try the harpoon gun with stasis to see how well it goes.

I cant imagine the carnage that the Geth Infiltrator does with the Geth Shotgun. I unlocked the Geth Engineer and run around in Hunter Mode with my Geth Plasma Shotgun X destroying things on Gold. If I had cloak... I just... yeah.

Was in a party with a Geth Infiltrator last night and yeah, hunter mode + cloak + plasma shotgun is just ridiculous. We'd be trying to bed down on Firebase White and this guy would just walk off and solo half of a wave, come back for ammo, and then repeat.

Geth, Firebase White, Gold. The easiest money you will ever make.

You need at least one SalEng, two makes it very easy, an infiltrator on top makes it GG objective waves. The camp spot is indoors behind a control panel - the one closest to the doorway - on the low-ground side.

The enemies will funnel down the stairs both outside and inside. Indoors, SalEng and one lucky team mate will bunker behind the cover, drop a decoy in the center of the room which will create a choke, and blast away. Outdoors, The two remaining mates take the wide lane, and make sure Geth Hunters and other ilk don't flank the indoors group from behind.

If the outdoors guy is another SalEng, he can operate solo, putting an extra team mate inside with the other SalEng. Outdoors guy will drop decoys in the wide lane as often as it's safe to do so - this will both gather all of the Geth Hunters and create another chokepoint outdoors - this choke also keeps enemies in vision for the indoors crew, letting them safely engage two batches of harmless enemies.

Spell spam is critical in gold, of course, but Area energy drain takes the cake for most awesome.

This position is so effective, even a moderately geared team can plow through 10 with enough spell spam. Still, try and rocket before screwups start killing people - be proactive, especially if the objectives suck - and ALWAYS rocket if enemies threaten to get behind the indoors group. The outdoors group can always fall back behind the corner, but there's nothing to save the indoors group if a Prime gets behind the desk.

If I see at least one Salarian Engineer all you really need is another class with Overload. Power Amplifier, then energy drain + overload into tech burst to your heart's content.

This. I just started farming gold, and this is how I do it. If there isn't a Sal eng, i roll it otherwise i'll roll human engi for support and overload detonations. Only time i've lost on firebase white like this is if people decide to off running somewhere and be a hero infiltrater or we get a crappy disarming point, like on the stairs outside where enemies aren't really going to clear out of.

Alternatively you can split your group up to be behind both desks so that one group watches the door and the other watches the indoor staircase. Its pretty stupid how effective this position is. I haven't lost a gold match yet when i'm sal engi, and i don't even have a carnifax yet, i'm still rolling phalanx I.

No kidding, eh? I just three-manned Gold - twice - and we didn't even have a good tech combo (batarian soldier, saleng, and a drell something). I only have a Carnie II, so it's not even 200% cast speed, but it all doesn't matter a bit - Just get classes that can kill things, and a SalEng to plug the choke, and it's worth 75,000 creds.

You don't even need a guy outside, really, but if, say an infil took the wide lane he would have his pick at a fuckton of free kills.

Related aside: What's with the disconnects? I can't tell if it's a computer/server thing, or the pubs are butthurt when they die, but when we had to three-man Gold Geth with no combos it got fucking exciting (when that geth prime slips by and circles the desk, pants are shat) , but decoy saved the day.

    Seriously though, fucking pubs

Ended up getting Asari Justicar and the Geth submachine gun. A buddy of mine was playing as Geth Engineer. Let's just say between his turret restoring shields and my sphere reducing damage etc, it was a cake walk on Silver. Only time anyone died was when the idiot without a mic kept running off away from the three of us. Justicar is fun as hell and if you combine it with Geth Engineer it's almost so easy it's broken. We added a Salarian Engineer after the first game and did another 3 silver runs with nobody dying at all. Decoy, sphere, and turret = INVINCIBLE!!!

Could someone screencap what the upgrades on the biotic sphere are? Ass effect wiki still doesn't have info up, and i'm curious.

    Biotic Sphere:
Evolution 4a: Shield Regeneration - Decreases ally shield recharge delay by 15%
    Evolution 4b: Radius by 30%

Evolution 5a: Damage Reduction - Damage reduction to allies within the shield by 10%
Evolution 5b: Enemy Weakness - Increase the damage taken by enemies within the shielded area by an additional 15%

Evolution 6a: Allied Protection - Decrease damage that shielded allies take by 10%. Decrease the delay before shields regenerate by 10%
Evolution 6b: Warp Effect - Hit enemies inside the shield with Warp, dealing 50 damage per second and reducing armor by 25%. Affect up to 3 enemies at a time. Sets up detonation.

    Can't screencap Xbax but
    Level 2: Recharge Speed +25%
Level 3: Duration +30% (dunno base duration, but with +60% from Justicar passive it's 57 seconds)
Level 4A: Shield recharge delay -15% for allies within shield.
    Level 4B: Shield Radius +30% (3m -> 3.9m)
Level 5A: Damage Reduction +10% for allies within shield.
Level 5B: Increase damage taken by enemies within shield by additional 15% (10% -> 25%).
Level 6A: Decrease damage allies in shield take by 10%, decrease delay before shields regenerate by 10%.
Level 6B: Hit enemies inside the shield with Warp, applying DoT and reducing Armor, also sets enemy up for Biotic Detonation (can close combo too).

Base damage reduction is 20%, so 40% with both upgrades.

    Edit: TOO SLOW.

I went radius, damage reduction, and warp effect; in retrospect I really should have just used it as a pure "bunker-down" effect and gone with damage reduction / shield cooldown on level six, but warp effect is just so damn good (when you manage to get enemies funneled into effect radius). If an enemy is already under a biotic effect, it seems like they not only detonate upon entering, but can be detonated again once inside.

I was really debating doing the warp effect. But I figured if I'm going to basically buff people I might as well make it as strong as possible. I was wondering how the Warp effect worked. It sounds like it's pretty bad ass.

What would be badass is if Warp stacks with Reave. If they do...it might be worth considering

the problem I've found is that sphere radius is decent with upgrade, but still not huge; it is at this weird close-the-gap range where, by the time an enemy is inside, they aren't staying there. It is maybe a split second outside Krogan heavy melee reach, and I'm pretty sure Pyros can get you from one side to the other. The only real benefit is that it extends over cover; which you are going to grab the enemy over maybe half the time anyway. If it did more DoT with warp, or (as Kiarax mentioned, was kinda misleading) buffed gun / maybe power damage from inside for players, it would be beastly.

It sounds way more bad ass on paper than it actually is. It's extremely difficult to actually utilize it in a match outside of Bronze where you can risk running in to enemies faces. Another shitty thing is enemies will often be staggered by the Warp effect and back up out of the bubble again (and you lose the Warp effect so you can't combo). Though one thing I didn't try is dicking around with Bubble + Pull. Pulling enemies in to the shield and them blowing up the moment they hit it would be pretty amusing at least, but so many better ways to deal with enemies, pretty much just an amusing gimmick at best. If you want to play the class seriously you're definitely best off speccing for the defensive skills.

Yeah I went the warp effect route and seriously regret it. Hoping we'll see some buffs to the bubble shield cuz it seems to be somewhat useless. What would have been better is if the shield absorbed damage rather than just mitigated it, that way you can tell what damage was blocked more clearly.

tl;dr Asari Justicar - worthless without sphere and reave maxed, but equally worthless without pull, next time just bring two Geth infiltrators

And let's face it, the Geth Engineer turret is infinitely better support than the bubble shield too. That shield restoring is Godlike.
