Speaking of shotguns, finally unlocked the Geth Shotgun! Perfect for my Krogan Soldier build. However, Ive been loving the Disciple Shotgun for my Asari and Krogan Vanguard build because its light weight. Am I crazy for this??

Disciple was made for krogan vanguard. Murder train keeps chuggin' along without any penalties. I use the claymore with my krogan solider myself, even though it's a pure power build. Carnage is more of a finisher anyway. Recharge speed isn't as important.

I almost only play Batarian Soldier or Kroguard on bronze/silver and if I want +200% recharge (blades/charge) I will usually just pack katana X with dmg and piercing mods, anything I'm shooting at I will be close up with. Got Disciple X now, I will have to have a mess with it. Also need to revisit human soldier after all the buffs because last time I played it was probably around launch.

I bought two premium specter packs after doing a few gold runs from this weekend's event. I was all set to rage if I *still* didn't have Krogan Soldier or Battlemaster unlocked (cause Krogan is my favorite ME species). Even though I didn't get them, the rage was washed away when I unlocked Geth Plasma Shotgun V and VI back to back. Awwwww yeah.

Don't feel bad, I still haven't gotten the Kroguard. Shit's irritating as hell. It's been a while since I've even gotten a decent rare upgrade from a premium pack. Last two packs I got 1 garbage and 1 XP. I was able to finish off my Mattock and Carnifex. Still sitting at IX for Geth SMG. I'd love to finish off my Widow which has been sitting on VII for quite some time.

Phantoms can see you clear as day. You can be hit by random enemy fire.

At least you have something to look forward to. Practically anyone who is N7 600+ should have capped (or close to it) gold level stuff and are just getting xp cards instead of Black Widows. I've only got the Kishock to cap and then it'll all be kroguards or some shit from there on out. or wraiths.

Are you just heading straight for spectre packs? Get a bunch of recruit packs and max the base weapons like avenger and katana then move on to vet packs and build silver/gold guns. Avenger X is decent gun and weighs nothing.

Buy a million recruit packs. You'll upgrade all your starter weapons to X. While you wait to unlock and upgrade silver or higher weapons, Mantis X and Avenger X are surprisingly effective death-dealers. Avenger X weighs less than most pistols, and Mantis X with piercing and barrel mods has served me as a slightly gimp Widow so far, while still giving my Salarian infiltrator a really quick recast on Energy Drain. If you're doing gold matches it takes no time to do this, and then you can move up to veteran, unlock/upgrade most of that stuff, and finally start on spectre packs. The more low-level stuff you've capped out, the more chance you have at gold/silver weapons.

Only works for weapons though: I've got about seven Turian Sentinel XP cards from Veteran packs when all I want is to cap out my Phaeston.

There isn't really a reason to buy veteran's packs, unless you're going for completion of armory and whatnot. You buy recruit packs for the starter weapons and attachments so that when you're buying spectre/premium spectre packs, the slots that can contain blues contain silvers (mainly for silver characters and attachments) instead. In spectre, you'll always get a gold, premium two, and will not lose one of those slots on to a silver. I've maxed out all attachments and have bought maybe 5 or 6 vet packs, mainly before I realized it was a waste of time. Unless you have some strange reason to max out silver weapons, buy a ton of recruit until you have all of blue maxed out, then spectre/premium until you quit.

This is pretty much what I've been doing, though there are still four blue character slots I need to fill that category. I guess I should buy a few recruit packs to max that out.
