You're probably at exactly 50 now (lowest it goes). Bust out the random map bronze games before redoing the ending, all you can do.
With what you're suggesting, I'd imagine the best he could hope for is the game remembers his last login GR rating. Which apparently was really low anyway.
see, if we didn't have all this DRM, online crap, this wouldn't be an issue. ngh.just sneak into the files and alter the values.

I just want to finish my shepards stories. I'm pretty sure the DLC will consist of starchild calling you fucking retarded and protecting his artistic integrity, while one of the epilogue scenes will elude to entitlement, then your LI going for ice cream or something and i'll be ok with it at this point. I seriously hope they abandon the story elements for future mass effects if douchebags like mac and casey are still going to handle the series.
Edit: oh and about this weeks commendation event.
To be clear, the player group can only be comprised of krogans, vorcha or batarians. If there are humans, geth or quarians in the group, it will NOT count.
You can have an all vorcha squad or a mix of krogans and batarians or all 3 races, just ONLY those 3 races.
Solo Matched DO count and NO, full extraction is NOT needed.
There is confusion over the Allied and Squad goals.
Allied Goal can be ANY race
Squad Goal MUST be only krogan, batarian or vorcha or a combination of those races
I'm fine with closure if done right. I was more concerned with not seeing the aftermath of my choices.
Should be fun to see the train wreck they came up with as "closure."
I hope the crippled nigga that steals my ship gets shot in the face in this new ending.

The complex sequence of logic for the Extended Cut.Faith restored somewhat. I'll honestly have to play it and hope they do justice to the ME series, thats all i'm looking for really. How large is the Extended Cut?
The Extended Cut requires roughly 1.9 gigabytes of storage
Also in case people are curious as to where to start:
What save game should I load to play the Extended Cut?
[SPOILERS] To experience the Extended Cut, load a save game from before the attack on the Cerberus Base and play through to the end of the game. The Extended Cut endings will differ depending on choices made throughout the Mass Effect series, so multiple playthroughs with a variety of different decisions will be required to experience the variety of possibilities offered by the new content.

Yeah I'm not even going to download it until I hear some feedback. Not putting myself through another disappointment. On a side note the drone buffs are quite nice and the drone finally feels like it has an offensive presence. Can one shot Cerberus Grunts on Silver maxed out, blast radius on rockets is enough to notice other enemies taking the hit. Sentry turret actually does pretty decent gun damage and the freeze effect works. Viper and Arc Pistol are still pretty eah.
Would this mean they put in more cutscenes between Cerb Base and the point where we get to the beam? I see no other purpose to demand we load a game from pre-Cerb Base instead of my auto-save in front of the beam with my saved Galactic Readiness when I finished this game on the first (and only) playthrough. What save game should I load to play the Extended Cut?

Will not download until I read feedback about the DLC.
All of the calculations for the ending (based on story+EMS) were previously made when you started this mission, and i imagine it hasn't changed. There could very well be additional scenes leading up to and during the cerberus scene.
some more info from forums/twitter
People have been asking about the EMS and how it changes in the Extended Cut DLC.
The original experience of the game was meant to reward players who did extra work (multiplayer, importing a save, playing the iOS games, etc) with greater levels of success in the end, which is appropriate to a story about a war that needs every possible advantage in order to win. But now that we are moving to a post-launch period and have additional content for the endings, we wanted to make it easier for all players to experience even the best-cast endings. Playing multiplayer is just one component is a sea of variables that can affect your ending. If you don't play MP, you have to find other ways raise to raise your EMS before attempting to retake Earth, including a comprehensive single player play through. Likewise if you suffered some blows to your EMS prior to assaulting Earth, MP is a great way to raise your score high enough for the final assault.
Keep in mind that the results of having a very low EMS rating can have distinct effects on the outcome of the game in teh same way having a high EMS can.
That would be one way to phrase it.OdanUrr wrote...
Does this mean that SP EMS has been fixed?we're clarifying plot points that people found confusing/unclear/illogical.
we made it clear at PAX East we weren't going to be perscriptive about IT. If you believe in IT the EC shouldn't change that.
EC will not provide a definitive answer on IT. It's up to you if you believe it has merit or not.
can't experience all the content in one game. You have to have mult saves making diff choices. You only see some in one sitting.
no additional combat in the EC DLC
@JessicaMerizan (nicely, apologies for anything else) can you estimate roughly how many minutes the EC adds from Cerb base to the end?
@kalepost In a single play through, I'd say it adds ~10+ minutes, but there's quite a few iterations that require separate games to see
If I could do some kind of crazy Asari mind meld so you could see what I've seen, I would. I'm sorry that I can't
I blame EA for all of this.
Why the fuck do we need an extended cut dlc?![]()
Yes, the calculations for the endings are based on when you start the Cerb mission, I know this. From that point on, your EMS is locked to that value for the story. Every save made after that point in the story, would have the "locked in" EMS value you had at the start of the Cerb mission.
If it has no cutscenes before the beam I wonder why Bioware thinks I would bother to get my readiness back up when my "pre-beam auto save with that nice locked in EMS value from months ago" should be more than sufficient for just 10 minutes of additional footage.
No definitive answer to the whole IT stuff is seriously a stupid move from Bioware. Discussions the past few months about it weren't enough Bioware? You have to drag that stupid discussion on for years? Joy...
So the extended cut adds 10 mins of new scenes to about 2-3 hours (give or take) of actual story and gameplay? That seems rather insignificant, unless they piled it all on at the end (and it also doesn't get the taste of disappointment out of my mouth over what is a shitty last level).
Even then it seems like it will only add like 2 minutes to a gameplay because it says you have to have multiple plays to see all of it.
other way around. its 10~ average for any given playthrough. Collectively the content could be like over an hour or something. Its 1.9 gigs though (Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC was like 1.5-1.6 gigs) so there is going to be a significant amount of content added regardless of how much you may see on any particular game file.
I'm downloading this thing regardless since its free and whatnot and I'm really hoping they give this game a proper ending. The attention to detail they put into the core game that derives directly from fan feedback/memes (I'm in the middle of some calibrations Shepard) makes me think the EC is gonna be fine.
Honestly, I'm content with the story if the indoctrination theory is true (maybe not the way it was told...)
I just hope the EC will feel like an oceans 11 / memento reveal.
I'll download it since it's free but I have very low expectations going into this. So we'll see what happens.
