They expected 200,000 Bronze missions, 175,000 Silver missions and 70,000 Gold missions.
I wonder if they will do anything to try to get players back. EA is surely not pleased about this.

They need to add some different game types. I'm sure I'm not the only one getting bored of surviving till extraction.
I would love it if BW opened up some more single player maps- the bigger ones, and each team had one long mission (similar to Single Player) rather than just waves. This way map progression could be important as well as managing ammo or setting up new cover locations etc.
Only thing EA is worried about is if people stop dropping money for credits. Though I do find it pretty damn funny to see the numbers are that low. They expected 200,000 Bronze missions, 175,000 Silver missions and 70,000 Gold missions.

It seems like fourth tier ammo has choked the unlock structure for me. There are plenty of silver and gold gear pieces I haven't maxed but out of two premium spectre packs I'll see two uncommon ammo and two rare ammo; maybe a gear upgrade once every three packs and an ultra rare gun once every four or five. The rewards for grinding are all but gone.
Ugh, dumber and dumber players are now making up the population of this game, esp on gold. Holy shit. I did at least half a dozen Firebase White gold Geth farming runs and each time we had 'deactivate the device' the entire fucking team tried to follow me, or whoever the infiltrator was from device to device. All ended in wipes. This does not bode well for what will be left of ME3 multiplayer before this year is out.
Though I imagine many argue this is the case now...
It's kind of dying off now as it is. The results of the last event are clearly showing that. The MP is stale. It's always the same thing. There's no variety at all. No alternate game modes, no pvp, just survive 11 waves and escape. Add on top of that how badly they fucked with the spectre packs there's no reason for me to grind out credits when I know I'm going to end up getting a rare consumable ammo item instead of the multiple rares that I still need. I pretty much jump on for events and that's it. I will agree though, the playerbase seems to be getting a bit dumb which makes even gold farming runs exercises in pain.
I thought anyone who played ffxi would have rock bottom expectations of PUGs in any game. I think I played more failed silver runs than successful ones over the weekend, with quite a few lone survivors too.
I thought so as well. But I'm starting to see some blatant idiocy in ME. Like it was posted a little while ago, everyone going after sensors instead of letting the Infiltrator do it. Salarian Engineers that don't use Decoy at all. Adept's that are so overloaded with weapons that their cooldowns are like -500.I thought anyone who played ffxi would have rock bottom expectations of PUGs in any game.

How did that happen
A wizard did it.
It's funny too, there was a topic on their forums earlier where some Bioware guy said it was a failure. I personally think they just fudged the numbers because they realized they overestimated how many people are still playing the MP.
if you look at the numbers, though, it isn't exactly a blowout. I'm willing to bet people just started to get serious about their Valiant X or whatever when they realized time was running out.
Yay. Valiant I. Its kinda cool... but I am absolute shit with a sniper rifle so... yeah.
I keep getting shitty pistols. Haven't gotten anything worthwhile out of a commendation pack for a while now.
I honestly wouldn't mind having the N7 Eagle at a VII or something. I would use it all the time in Bronze and Silver.
Leaviathan dlc drops on aug 29th, all platforms. PS3 EU is 29th.
