I'm not at all ashamed to say a buddy and I have been duoing platinum runs using the arc pistol/striker glitch. Just make sure you turn your feedback off.
Depends on what you have upgraded. I've had luck with the Saber and even the Valkyrie to some extent (feels like an Argus with less ridiculous recoil) if Harrier isn't an option. Poor Man's automatic might be a Revenant X, since you'll be getting the stability bonuses on the Turian anyway.
I'll give the rev a try, just hope it can do damage without ammo mods on gold+.
First off you cannot be the host. If you host you will not be able to do this. Second in your mission settings turn off your feedback. I only suggest doing this with a friend and no pick up groups. Use the N7 Destroyer(soldier.)
Equip the Arc Pistol and the Striker Assault Rifle. Begin the game. The game will start and you will automatically have your Striker out. You need to switch to the Arc Pistol. After pulling out the Arc Pistol, AT THE SAME TIME PRESS AND HOLD Up on the D Pad and the right trigger.
What happens is your Arc Pistol will start making the charging noise. HOLD BOTH FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS. After ten seconds release both at the the same time. Your Arc Pistol will fire a shot before you automatically pull out your missile launcher. Do not fire. Cycle through your weapons and go to the Striker. If the glitch worked your friend will see you running around with a missile launcher.
Now for what to do when you have the glitch activated. First off NEVER go into standing cover. The glitch will reset. I'm told that crouching cover is ok but I haven't tried it. You can still use your survival packs and medi gels. Ammo packs are glitchy. As are ammo crates. This is where the N7 Destroyer comes in. When you enter into the destroyer mode(or whatever the fuck it's called) your ammo will automatically replenish.
The missiles from your ghetto launcher are affected by your upgrades as well as your point usage. If you have increased weapon damage the missiles end up being slightly more powerful. They don't have as much splash damage as the real missile launcher it seems. The only enemy you can't really one shot are ravagers for some reason. If it doesn't work right away keep trying, it is a glitch so it's obviously not guaranteed.
Just a heads up, you can get banned for this, which is why he said turn feedback off. Also stay in private matches as I don't want people wasting my damn time and fun. Don't care as long as you don't join a game I'm in.
hmm, sounds like a 360 version glitch? I'm on PC and there are more actual hacks including weapon damage changes such as one shot kill anything with the starting sniper gun. That's why I assumed dropping heavies with an AR in a couple seconds might be cheats.
On the off chance that it was legit, I've still been trying to make turian ghost work with their AR buffs and the AR-specific stealth damage buff. However, it really only seems OK on gold with lvl 3 ammo mods and shield buffs with my current armory including lvl X of most guns but no harrier from events yet. Was the falcon ever un-nerfed enough to use again? I haven't even tried a Plat yet, but it seems pointless to try with an AR ghost atm.
Yes it's on 360 and mighty is 100% correct. You can and will get banned for this if you get caught. If you do it in a public pug then you deserve to get caught.
Did some experiments this weekend re: Turian Ghost. Revenant has one thing going for it - the huge ammo capacity, which on Platinum is actually a consideration. Otherwise, it just doesn't cut it. Even with ridiculous amounts of stability, the range just isn't on par with anything else, so if you are stuck in the ammo shed on Rio it works, but if you need to actually get out from cover and try to shoot enemies as they move through the stairways... no dice, not even close.
Harrier + AR damage III + Armor Piercing Rounds III + warfighter package V = dead everything. If you have a Saber, it can do wonders as well, just doesn't have the "oh shit" spray and pray factor of the harrier up close.
NINA EDIT: May just start using Saber as default, was in a match with two other Harrier ghosts, one with Harrier X, and a Havok Soldier and I beat all of them out with Saber / less consumable buffs.
what weapons do you guys use in single player?
i have been using the scimitar shotgun for close range and the Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle for everything else. the adas is easily my favorite weapon. so fun to use
^Depends on what class you are and tbh what your play style is.
Pretty much. I'm tempted to try out the Typhoon but just haven't given it a go yet. It is a thing of beauty to watch my Harrier chew through shit on Platinum with the N7 Destroyer.Harrier + AR damage III + Armor Piercing Rounds III + warfighter package V = dead everything. So the trilogy comes out tomorrow for PS3. I tried playing 2 a while back and didn't like it, felt like I was missing a lot of backstory that the comic didn't flesh out. Should I try the first? I'd really like to get into the series even if the ending to 3 is a massive letdown =/
Unequivocally, yes. I got 1 on PC, then 2, then my PC died a death of a thousand swords, and is currently only fit for word processing. Got 2 and 3 for the PS3, still feel like I'm missing "my" Shepard. Compared to 2 and 3 the acting's a bit wooden in 1, and the combat's a bit unintuitive compared to 3's epic explosions, but it's a five year old game. So much story though. So much epic Wrex win as well. Best squadmate evar.
The gameplay of the original is kinda weak. Stuff like driving around in the mako on fetch quests and having to frequently sort through your inventory of extremely marginal weapons can start to grate but the story more than makes up for it. I recommend playing through on a low difficulty so you can just learn about all the characters and their stories, the combat is completely revamped in ME2 anyway and is much-improved.
Stimulant got a HUGE nerf. When speced for shields it went from 4000 -> 2400, no more invincible mode its still strong as hell.Unlocking Male Quarian Marksman Soldier and challenge

Acolyte nerf doesn't look like much either since it still does 3x damage to barrier/shields. It also does more damage if you let it bounce on a wall.
Yay! Quarian Male Soldier! Tactical scan -> Marksman will make him a boss killer.
Mass Effect 1 up on PSN :D. 14.99$ 7158MB. ME2 compatibility patch also went out.
Not an official Trailer but it seems appropriate enough.
I haven't played ME3 in a while but is the Saber just getting stronger and stronger over time? lol
