Hopefully the RMS TORtanic takes bioware down under or god knows what they'll do to this series after ME3.
Well I guess I'm going on ME3 blackout now. See you guys after I finish my first playthrough.

badass
Online is gonna be full of Turians cause Garrus is such a bro.
Also tired of people saying the online aspect will take away from them putting effort into the game's story. Look at MGS4 for fucks sake.
I never really played a Vanguard before so I'm probably going Asari for Multiplayer if they all only have one class.
Was it me or did that asari vanguard just use a move that had her side step via biotic powers?
Looked like that to me as well. MP seems pretty fun to me which is sad because EA are trying their best to make this the most awkward game release ever.
This is not shocking to anyone who was following the book release. I have been aware of it for about a year ago or so. Maybe more. When it was originally announced that William "Christing" Dietz would be writing this newest ME novel, I think the community collectively groaned all at once. Dietz penned the WORST of the Halo novels. "The Flood". I had been told some of Dietz's other stuff was okay. Granted, I know it's not really easy to novelize Halo 1, but holy shit, that was one of the worst books I have ever read. All of the others were kick ass. They should have gotten Eric Nylund (who wrote the best Halo books) to write this novel. Bioware really fucked up with their choice there. I know Drew has moved onto The Old Republic, but hell he could have at least given ideas for this novel for another writer in Bioware. I'm sure of the forum mods over there could write a better book based on ME.
I don't think I want to even read it. I am too disappoint.![]()
As soon as i realized Karphysin wasn't writing this novel i knew i was gonna pass on it. You don't pass your baby on to somebody else and expect it to be the same baby you've cared for for years. This is how shitty sequels are made.
Got it on my kindle with the 1 a month rental. Fuck your logic.
Why do people even read those types of novels? Nothing more than professional fanfiction. Same with the crap that "supplements" movies.
edit: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...pli=1&sle=true holy shit, I didn't think it was going to be that bad
Actually the ME novels by Drew Karpyshyn are considered canon in the ME universe. If you like Mass Effect, I'd pretty much guarantee you like the novels he wrote. They fit in the universe very well, and shit, were handled by the same guy that handled Mass Effect. They're quick reads, but I usually enjoy every page. And you don't have all the stupid inconsistencies like you would by having an outsider (like William C. Dietz) who after reading that google doc knows nothing about the series other than what he was shown or told.
The Halo novels written by Eric Nylund are also like that. They just get the "feeling" of everything so right.
