Mass Effect 3

I can't decide if I'm buying this or not still, fuck.

I only did one full playthrough of ME2 as a vanguard and not on the hardest difficulty. I tried replaying it a few times as different classes but couldn't get into it cause I guess I just didn't like those classes enough. I still felt the game was worth the money spent however.

Maybe I'll find time this week to replay it with an imported save from the internet, and do vang again on the hardest difficulty or give infiltrator a real shot for once.

Yeah, not sure if I want to get the CE or wait for the GOTY. The CE has a lot of cool shit in it.

theres never been a goty/ultimate edtion of a mass effect game so don't count on there being one

I know but that was an exception since it was released a year after it had already been released on the other platforms

I played a shitton of multiplayer last night with some friends and still haven't unlocked any class that isn't human. My friend unlocked the krogan warrior though and the thing is a beast. It had 1100 shields at level one, while my level 19 Engineer has 825.

It's probably best I'm burnt out so I don't waste any more time on things that won't carry over.

Half the reason the multi is so great is getting to try all the classes without investing 15-20 hrs doing the story, again... Kind of curious what the final lvl caps will be and if there will be more types of maps or modes (really don't need a pvp though). It does seem like there will be other enemies to choose from and ME3 will supposedly have some giant zerg-looking creatures, along with the token zombie mode that the husks will make possible.

my lvl 20 drell vanguard has 337 shield... my shields get 1-shotted on silver and I find out if there is a turret around by dropping in front of them...

I haven't been lucky at all. All the class cards I got were just +1 level on the default humans.

Adept is pretty broken on Bronze I find; singularity-warp spam with a single pistol and 1-second recharge times gets the cerberus mooks dead plenty quick. I accidentally got into a Silver game and got my ass handed to me with frustrating regularity though.

Are the bronze/silver/gold different difficulties? I would like to try multiplayer, but as I have said am pretty bad at shooters and don't wanna bring people's experience down by me being shitty. How hard is bronze (if that is what I am assuming is the easiest)?

bronze is very easy. You really don't have to worry about making people hate you for being bad as bronze and silver are both pretty much races for kills. If you are slow you just feed the egos of the rest of the group by giving them more kills.

Also, there are only 2 or 3/10 waves per game that have a timer on them where you would need any sort of urgency. For the rest, you can take as long as you need to kill off a wave, there is no tower defense point other than the players themselves. Luckily, they are mobile and can continuously run away if needed.

Such a terrible combo, Vanguard+low shield. Doesn't really make sense, unless the Drell movement speed is crazy fast to run for cover.

A Krogan Vanguard would wreck shit so hard.
