Mass Effect 3

Origin is the main reason I'm avoiding PC version, but it's also the only version I want to play. Piracy considered, but I really want to try the MP as it looks really fucking fun so maybe I'll just bite the bullet.

I have the CE for the PC version preordered, but figure I'll poke around for a no-Origin crack or something. Personally I have no plans to do multiplayer or to ever buy a scrap of DLC for it, so I don't see that Origin should be necessary at all. I frankly don't care if the service is good or not, I simply don't want to run another client just the launch one game.

I decided on ps3 version to avoid.origin.

I can't do sticks on shooters that I would play longer than a rental. Multi would be a nightmare when having to land multiple HS per target is vital to sniping. I do hate that origin is being forced on me, but its not like is sucks.

I doubt it. You didnt need Zaeed or Kasumi in 2.

Been dicking around with Drell Vanguard today, figured it'd be crappy and human is so much fun with Nova + Charge but God damn... Pull + Charge go really well together. It's kind of finnicky to get the explosion to trigger (if they're too high off the ground it misses) but when it does? Holy shit it owns. At one point I killed 4 dudes with a single explosion lol. Just need to get some weight reduction or use a different shotgun, right now this one drops me to +90% cooldown recharge, if I can get it less than that to spam more it'll be amazing.

I really want to love Drell Vanguard, but cluster grenades just feel so ineffective. After loving sticky grenade on Infiltrator I thought cluster would be awesome, was sorely disappointed.

This DLC shit is getting out of hand, 69€ for the game (gamestop price, cheaper if you buy online) and 10 more... I'm tempted to torrent and replay everything on pc :/

I don't get the complaints honestly. You buy the CE, you get a bonus squadmate...you don't buy the CE, you don't...unless you wanna pay 10 bucks. Nothing wrong for rewarding people for buying the collecters edition.

If it's anything like the ME2 launch dlc, it will be completely tacked on with little connection to the main story and the character won't even have talk wheel options when you see them on your ship. Really, just a couple extra missions and a mediocre option for your mission team.

Fuck it Shouldn't need to spoiler the fact that its a Prothean because you can't buy or add the DLC to your game without getting it spoilt to you anyway its right in the discription of the DLC

Day 1 DLC really does piss me off, it's an intentional rip off and it's something of a disservice to the fans. In a way I'd prefer they kept it exclusive to the collectors edition so that when I get round to buying this (poor) I don't have to think of what could have been between shepherd and the *spoiler*... Oh the laughs we'd have had :<

exactly. It mostly just feels like they had a bigger game ready to go at release, but decided to break the artificial "normal" price of $60 by saying some of it is DLC. They could avoid the nay-sayers by waiting a month to release the first DLC and (this part is important) not have it done before the base game is released.

$60 for ME3 is more game than most for the same price.

I shared the same complaints about the demo though, I felt the textures looked like shit, Femshep with maleshep's animation looked wonky. I had a few other things but i've already talked about them.

I'm not against people having problems with the demo, or DLC. But the guy in the Youtube video seems like a tool because he admits to thinking the demo is great. So the only person he's hurting by boycotting the game is himself. Let's be real here, regardless of how you feel about DLC, EA, or Bioware, the game will sell millions and receive critical acclaim. The only thing a boycott is achieving is fucking yourself out of playing a great game millions of other people are too busy enjoying to even notice your boycott.

Not to mention, the boycott will never get off the ground because everyone is too self-important. This guy makes a 24 minute video....meanwhile on Bioware there is multiple threads either referencing this video, or saying the same thing. After a while, people don't care because they're tired of hearing 20 people say the same thing over and over. If this thing was organized under one person, or one small group, it might be able to accomplish something. It's not though....it's "angry vocal minority" phase and it's likely to stay there.

Personally i'm not buying ME3 for a long time, i'll wait till its down to $20 or if they release a version that has all the DLC included. I have too many other games I want to play over Mass Effect at the moment.

It has been known for a year(or at least I knew) now that the dlc was going to be called "The Prothean" People should`ve expressed rage then. And by the way I didn`t read spoiler pages or the leaked script. This was open information to anyone who read development and rumor pages.
