It's 600 MB that should be in the game or at the very least free to all those who purchase it new, like the Dragon Age and ME2 DLC was. What BioWare are doing is scummy and you shouldn't try and defend it. I've accrued a little over 1k MS points from the Xbox Live Rewards program shit so I don't feel like I'm out of pocket any by grabbing it. If not for that I probably woulda just YouTubed the mission and been done with it.

It is kind of scummy. But also worth the $$. Should have waited to release the DLC, or had the balls to bump the MSRP outright. I got the last 2 ME games for $5, I don't feel too horrible about finally paying what one is worth for the 3rd, which is more than what every other game charges at launch.

You get the Prothean as a squadmate NOT as a character. Big difference. I`m thinking it will be similar to LotSB. Liara is in the game already then you have a full hour+ mission with her. Protheans were going to be in the game in some form that`s just good storytelling. Ya know going full circle and all that jazz. None of us has played the game(maybe kyo, i think that`s his or her name) So we will have to wait and see how it all goes down.

Oh and I paid for the CE edition in full way back in November, so if you take my post with a grain of salt, I wouldn`t even be insulted.

And lol one more thing, It is Mass Effect in my opinion you`re going to get your full 60 dollars worth of content and replay. Again huge ME fan here so take what I wrote however you want to.

Also, I think I'm finally done with the multi on the demo after my 2nd lvl 20. It starts turning into a gear lvl and customization grind that is 1) incredibly rare and 2) almost indistinguishable even after 10 upgrades.

The argument was, what is "more". Paying the same for PC DL as console is like paying more. Paying the same for lesser games is like paying more for them. The point was that the ME games are worth more because they good and contain more content than most.

I would be happier if I paid $5 for ME3 like 1 and 2, but I'm losing more of my money by being impatient for the first time in years. A game that would break such a streak is worth it IMO.

I hate myself so much for waiting too long to preorder the CE. The schmucks at Gamestop suggested I go ahead and pre-order the regular edition and call in to see if anyone cancels their CE preorder, but I was just told over the phone that if anyone cancels it doesn't open up a spot for anyone. We don't need 20 different people explaining why they aren't buying it....because honestly no one cares why they aren't buying it. And they aren't going to magically convince anyone else not to buy it, so it's not a topic that needs to be discussed. Definitely not to the tune of 20+ minutes.

I think that dlc, and perhaps others too, should have come with the original CD. Can you explain to me why, from the perspective of a consumer, it benefits us to have so much content being used as dlc rather than being placed on the original CD?

Youtube doesn't update view count instantly after 300~ views. He has 17k likes on the video alone, once it does update a little later he'll have thousands and thousands of views. Whether you agree with him or not, he's extremely popular and has a pretty big influence on a decent chunk of people.
