Not saying its right, but so many games do day 1 DLC.

An EA game does it and shitstorms abound.

EA has done day one DLC's for at least 4 major games now. They are one of the biggest "Online Pass/DayOneDLC" game publishers out there. This is merely the first time they have used an Online Pass for a BioWare game. We get the Online Pass for playing the 4 person CoOp, so what were they going to do with their planned DayOne DLC? Drop it into the CE of course. To me, I expected the CE to have another character in it. Hell DA2 only had a "Signature Edition" and had a DLC Character/Mission on day one and no one bitched about it then.

All the people bitching about D1DLC should take a step back and realize that 1) its not an integral part of the game, just like Zaeed and the Prince werent in ME2/DA2. and 2) DLC is here to stay, get used to it. People should be bitching more about stupid shit like "Exclusive Preorder Bonuses" for different stores. Once again I am going to have to buy 2 copies of the game, and then return one so I can get the damn Gamestop exclusives. I am tired of it.

To play the devil's advocate here, I do think this particular DLC is a bit more integral due to who the character is. And while I haven't read the leaked script, I have heard that he has a substantial amount of lines, some of which deal with topics relevant to the main story. A lot moreso than any of the other DLC characters listed here.

This is why I said this should've been included in the game. But since it's not, you can either ignore it/buy it/bootleg it. Making 20+ minute videos and/or ranting on message boards isn't necessary.

And no, things weren't always like this. Sure back in the day fans would rant at each other, but it was over the actual games, or Sonic vs Mario, or Blast Processing vs Mode 7. Shit like that. There might be one weirdo that wanted to go on personal crusades against Nintendo, or Sega, or whoever....but the difference is nowadays these people can gather together on the internet.

I have a question, which probably won't have an answer. If you import from ME2 can you redo your character in 3? Just restarted 2 (again) to get the choices I want but decided to go a different class just for fun, however I'd like to be my original class in 3 (Vanguard).

Unconfirmed but given that you could in 2 it's highly likely you can in 3. Kyo might be able to tell you 100% though.

Ugh i didn't think about that, I was 18 hours into ME2 when I figured the story it gave me was crap (my ME1 didn't import). So I went back to 1, then imported to 2 so I can have the stuff I wanted. Back into ME2 and figured the 3 hours in might be wasted lol

It was a free upgrade for all preorders before a certain point. IMO, ME3 is going just that little bit further with the day 1 DLC than DAII did.

Though, frankly, that's the general feeling that I get from all of it, and I think what the bigger issue really is. EA/Bioware recognize the anticipation for the game, and know they can get away with pushing things on their fans that would otherwise mean a (larger) loss of sales. I doubt they'd be forcing Origin on PC players for a new IP. It's unlikely any lost sales would be enough to keep the game from making a healthy profit, so they don't care.

wow, that Francis vid.. Is that a "challenged" person, or is it an amazing performance piece? It was too perfect to not be scripted. I could see a fam guy episode paying homage to that.

Zaeed, Kasumi and the Prince are nowhere close to some 50000 year old specimen they told us extinct and to which the whole two games revolve around. This is just a way to milk the extra 10$: I seriously doubt they crapped the dlc story to not be relevant. If they released anything the likes of the aforementioned characters doubt that this many woulda cared (and they won't surely sell the way it is bound to be).
I have te CE preordered, but after DA2, the swtor mess and this shit I really don't wanna support this company anymore.
